Asking for clarification in terms of yesterday's revelation about Ghoul
I'm here to forward someone else's (@Lukadoosh) Twitter post on here:
"Hi @/deadbydaylight, on the recent Reddit Q&A you mentioned that The Ghoul "stopping you in place" while vaulting is not a bug. I want to ask properly here in case this was a miscommunication. For each of these scenarios, is the behavior shown intended? (1/2)
Video accompanying the tweet:
Don't normally ask for reposts but would appreciate if you could share this so we can get a response because there's a LOT of confusion coming from this (2/2)"

Thanks for taking the time to raise that here! Our team's seen the discussion and concerns from the community on this. We shared a little update in the AMA thread this morning to add some nuance to the topic, as our original message was a little abrupt and didn't get to the core of players' concerns. Lemme share that here.
Whilst yes, the commonly known "kidnap tech" is not a bug, it's a by-product of The Ghoul's ability, admittedly this interaction around a pallet is unintended. As Jeff has confirmed in the AMA, this friction point with The Ghoul's kit is something that's on our radar to be addressed.

But remember, Kaneki is just M1 killer when you are injured…
Totally M1 killer behaviour.11 -
I love that Kaneki is so bugged that there’s actually a different bug in the scenario 2 clip where he’s not visually charging his power despite charging it…

This also happens when he is too close to you and have to 'respect' the pallet to see if he is charging his power or not. Sometimes he cancels his power so fast you don't even notice he can M1 you and the sound is pretty much the same.

Let's call it a "feature"

I feel like this should have been clarified better in the QnA since just saying it “wasn’t a bug” not only confused alot of people on what you meant, it also made people think it was actively an intended mechanic Kankei could do, which honestly isn’t exactly great to think about when it comes to a killer like Kaneki who already has a massive hate group
While i’m glad it was clarified better I feel like it should have just been stated in the QNA to begin with2 -
Thank you so much for your transparency and quick responses on this matter 🙏 I hope the dev team can gather enough feedback to know what to do with Ghoul from here on out.

I totally hear you on that. Topics like this can be a complicated kettle of fish. In this case, we could have used more nuance in the original message and it's something we've taken as a learning for the future.
So all that to say, truly, we appreciate the community raising their questions around this.

lol, sadly it's not just Kaneki. the killer role as a whole has been made massively OP due to the total irrational complaints of killer mains. but hey…it helps sell that licensed DLC

I bought my friend Kaneki to play because I thought it would be a lot of fun to watch… omg… the sheer amount of bugs that killer has is terrifying…
Half her window vaults didn’t work if she was just trying to vault through without a survivor. Tentacles constantly stuck in the environment, wonky tentacle hits whether they should or shouldn’t hit, etc.
I’ve never seen more bugs on a single killer in the two games that she played him before getting off due to his bugs.

Yeah, his bugs are light version of what we have seen with Twins.
I would say Houndmaster was also way worse than Kaneki.0
