9.1.0 Clown Changes Are Really Bad
Making the purple bottles this bad has ruined my favorite killer to play and the changes to the yellow bottles do not outweigh the heavy nerfs.
I understand being made 'slow' in any game isnt fun, but how to you reconcile the fact that your game's mascot killer's (the trapper) power ends chases instantly rather than slowing you down then? Because it's his power! So leave clown's power in-tact and revert these changes, it's game ruining and I want to uninstall! I probably don't speak for everyone but certainly anyone who plays clown, a notoriously already weak killer, didn't need nerfs when you leave Tokyo Ghoul alone!

They should revert the intoxication linger. Maybe if they want both bottles to be used they should have them at equal numbers and increase basekit bottles, cus playing for invig now is so ass, its like now even having a power, its just a manually activated furtive chase

From 2s down to 1s makes it effectively useless. Plus they nerfed cigar box, so the invig is essentially your only option and the best add on for it is gutted now.
Meanwhile pinky finger is still a massive downgrade and easily the worst add on not considering that clown has 2 meme add ons as well…2 -
haven't they reverted it to 14 % hindred and 2s? only change was that it doesn't linger?
I saw people saying that Clown is actually pretty decent. Have to try him myself soon.

Yellow bottles are busted now. He definitely got buffed not nerfed.

Agree that he got buffed. His pink bottles went from 12 to 14 % hindered, but the lasting nerf was not so huge. I can see more people using both bottles in chase.

not at all. The main strategy will be just to run people down by self hasting with yellows. There's little reason to use pinks bc they got hit hard with the lingering duration.

They are bad, yes, but not for the reason you're implying. He's overall buffed from his pre-PTB version.
They're bad because he's now somehow MORE obnoxious in 1v1 chase. He's gone from slowing survivors down to just self hasting himself almost permanently to just catch up before a survivor can get to somewhere safe, with the occasional purple thrown in which takes less skill than it took before and is somehow more effective.
On top of that, because killers have ways of adding MORE haste to themselves with perks, which is way more accessible than applying hinder to survivors with perks, he can now just haste stack himself to oblivion easily.

Indeed. But Clown's entire power is about closing distance, despite it's boring to play against, despite it's not strong in map pressure (which is better for him now), it's who Clown is. Freddy (previously more) and Skull Merchant are just worse Clows with different utility.

I don't disagree - his power design is to be strong in 1v1 whilst not being strong across the map as a whole, but if they've pushed him towards less skill expression than he previously had and made him even more unenjoyable to go against (though I appreciate that's subjective), they have pushed him in the wrong direction in my opinion.

I agree. He went from area denial to sonic if his speed came from actual speed. The only positive from this was the buff to backpack starstruck clown.

Practically speaking in many cases it won't even be 1 second cause of Vigil.

His zombies are mad annoying. I can't even count from both sides how many times they helped massively. It's less noticable from Nemo pov of course. It's his map presence. As they push survivors of gen, give you hits mid chase etc.

Hi all,
I see some of you saying clown was 'objectively buffed' but this is really only if you plan on tunnelling and abusing the fact clown is faster than a freshly unhooked survivor. Beyond that the speed buff changes don't make him more oppressive, because he was already very fast at gap closing with yellow bottle pink bottle combo in open areas anyway.
It's a nerf because clown now has fewer options, gutted his best add-on, and made his strongest strategy tunnelling, which is something I thought the developers were trying to make harder anyway…
Regardless I think we can all agree we want the changes reverted in some capacity.-1
