Please just disable the vials. This chaos isn't worth it.
Literally everything is broken. Just accept that, disable it and try again when you have a fix.

Yes they really need to be kill switched because some Killers right now that require sound like The Spirit are unplayable right now

It is, but there's also gamebreaking bugs they're causing. Even beyond that though, the amount of ppl who are using it for someone else is kinda nuts since it doesnt require anything but time to recharge, and the recharge can be as fast as 55 seconds. This means they can go off every 15ish seconds. Unlike ppl who waste alot of time trying for flashlight saves, ppl just tap a button if the chase is in their general area no matter what floor its taking place on.

Edit: i was so wrong, I thought these were OP but after actually facing them they were fine, and that was before they got gutted :(

considering it breaks chase mechanics(a bug since it was introduced during the halloween events and was never fixed) no, this item needs to be kill switched until it doesn’t completely break chases.

Although I don't have a problem with the item itself, I do think fog vials should be killswitched till the bug is fixed. Crazy its still in the game despite being reported countless times by so many people.

yeah...i was really excited to try the fog vials, but i haven't used them at all yet because of the chase bug :( they seem fun but I don't wanna bug anyone's game, i really hope they get this sorted soon

To anyone complaining about fog vials, have a tracking issue. I haven't yet lost a survivor using a fog vial.

It is mind-blowing how much game-breaking stuff gets through the QA process. How the “no chase bug” made it through to the live launch is insane. Either QA testing just didn’t get done at all, or someone said “this is fine” and pushed it through. Either way, it’s a horrible, horrible reflection on BHVR’s QA process.
Apparently it’s not affecting the player count much. They can get away with non-existent quality control when there is no competition.

Yeah don't play any killers without anti loop right now. If you get a disturbed ward game might as well just never chase main and hope the survivors never run to it because that god awful window can easily be an infinite if the chase bug happens.

Game is fully broken right now so many bugs, I was doing ok with Wraith and Twins they are a bit less affected by the chase bug, but i'm not playing until we get another patch it's really amateurish

I didn't think of using vials to keep vaulting windows. a bug on top of that though, ah geez.
I was debating on playing piggy, Pyramid Head or unknown but I'm thinking unknown might be the safe bet for now

Agree. I’m done trying to “just deal with it” while BHVR takes what will likely be weeks at minimum to disable or even attempt to fix the issue. I have plenty of other things to do where I don’t feel like I need to force myself to play a broken game.

Honestly I have to agree. When multiple survivors have smoke bombs and keep spamming them it's extremely annoying.

The chase never starts.
No bloodlust, no Entity blockers, not even music.

On the plus side, Pig can get more headpops, since the timers never pause on her RBT's, so she can just chase them to death. Perhaps this was a Pig shadow buff they forgot to mention?

They will get mass reported with clips then for using an exploit to get an advantage, so don't risk

I think they need to have some kind of change tbh, like certain people with otherwise existing accessibility issues are really struggling with this. I think they really should've taken more time to cook this one properly. I feel like there needs to at least be a perk like lightborn that counteracts it (although that might be with the next original killer). I've already seen posts from people with chronic migraines, partial deafness and photosensitivity talking about this.

Its easy to claim this when you clearly play only survivor, killer which are very dependent on tracking like spirit are now in huge disandvantage which means if people will play with them then they will pplay more dirtier way because theres no room for normal gameplay expecting same reasults you had with them untill now.

Does this happen on both killer and survivor end? I've had plenty of games where people have used vials but it hasn't affected me being in chase with killers. Is it only affecting the person using the vial?

Sometimes it bugs only with certain survivors, you can still enter chase with the others.

One thing to note is chase starts once the killer has hit you. Kinda ruins the point of perks like PWYF that rely on the chase mechanic. Mightve had a case where you just didnt notice you weren't technically in a chase for the first half.

This is interesting. I didn't know about the bug, but it makes sense in retrospect. I had some weird games as survivor where there was something "off" about the way chases were starting but I couldn't put my finger on what.

Yeah i didn't know about it when I was playing killer yesterday. I had a few weird games with weird chases that I just brushed off, but looking back i think it was blood-lust not kicking in which made the chases seem off.

Aside from the obvious bugs regarding them, the outrage about fog vials is severely exaggerated.

I feel like a lot of the people arguing fog vials are currently fine and functioning as intended simply haven't hopped on live and tested them. They're extremely buggy and even without that tend to be easily spammable to the point of being omnipresent in an unhealthy way for the trials.
This is a sick item, and it shouldn't be gutted, but in its current state Fog Vials are seriously intruding on the matches.

I think the no chase bug happens even without the vials? I did get the bug in matches where i had 0 vials and i was playing ghoul. Those were the most calm matches ever. I had no chase music.
I'm only playing ghoul until the chase bug gets resolved. At least she has the speed to keep up and i never take my trusty bamboozle off.
I miss my spirit but at the moment i feel like playing her would cause me to just have a really bad day. Not sure why these vials were added, i hate them with passion.

Playing my SM without being able to start chases was certainly an experience.

The chase bug that you're referring to, happens also without the fog vials - although more with them it seems. We did push a fix yesterday to address this (all done on our side so no need of a download). There is still the problem of chase music sometimes not kicking in, but the chase mechanic itself works - so you get bloodlust and entity blocks the window correctly now.

Can you tell us when we can expect the first hotfix because besides the chase bug, there is so much more broken (e.g. sometimes houndmaster's dog does not grab survivor/the animation plays for a seconds and then the dog let's go of the survivor; Knight still has a lot of bugs, Dracula has new bugs; Artist still has a swarm delay of 0.5). So many killers feel miserable to play as or against (sometimes Deathslinger and Nemesis don't play their M2 animation so how am I supposed to dodge them).

Will The Pig be reenabled? Or are there more changes to her coming so the rbt timers aren't tied to chases?

Yeah and that's why it's bad for the game. It's unfun as hell to play against as every single killer. I refuse to play again until they're gone.
