Switch graphics are getting worse
Has anyone else noticed that the new cosmetics and survivors coming in are looking worse and worse on switch? I can't play any of the new survivors due to their cosmetics looking like what I can only describe as TV static (this is mostly their hair, facial hair and accessories). I've also noticed the graphics looking significantly worse than even the low graphics setting on PC. The portraits, badges, banners and menu screens look great, it's the actual game graphics that look awful.
I've attached the only screenshot I have for now, but it looks much much worse in game.
Edit: I would move to PC but I've been playing on switch for four years and own almost every DLC, I currently can't afford to repurchase every DLC.

I started seeing it with the Witcher cosmetics. The white hair seems like it's a static mesh. Also you might want to post this as a bug in the bug forum.

Personally I hate to say it Switch 1 should stop being maintained give it 6 months and allow Switch 2 users access to the better ver.

There is no better or more optimized version of DBD for those on Switch 2 to get. The game will run the same as it does on a Switch 1 it's the same game.

They've been doing this since Ghoul, I think. Whatever they're doing to model hair now is completely busted on Switch, and other consoles too I think. I guess expecting properly-modeled hair is expecting too much.

It means dropping the Switch 1 software and porting the current gen over., The hardware to play it on good setting is possible for even a steam deck.

If you mean DBD abandoning support for Switch 1 then they cannot do that yet. The way it works with Live Service games is they have to continue to support the platform until the console maker (in this case Nintendo) officially stops their support, or DBD no longer physically runs on the platform.
I'm not sure what you meant by "good setting" as none of the consoles have a "performance mode" when it comes to DBD. They cannot even change the graphics setting (low, high, ultra etc ) like those on PC can.

Switch 2 version of DBD is personally my favorite version. you get an upper hand VS Trapper with the low amount of grass compared too ANY other platform. And the game looks slightly good on an OLED TV it looks brighter compared to other console versions.

Alot of the newer characters are using Unreal Engine 5 hair not the legacy hair (which is a solid model). This new hair relies on anti-aliasing in order to look passable because that's just how the way it's rendered works, the anti-aliasing smooths it out and blends it together and is something alot of modern games are doing with both hair and foliage (much to alot of peoples dismay). If you want a comparison, Rick and Daryl are using UE5 hair while Michonne is using the older style of hair.
The switch hardware was outdated when it released and that was 8 years ago, the hair looks awful because the switch cannot use Anti-Aliasing I would assume because the framerate would get even worse. As a result, your hair is looking the way it does.
PC also has this if you don't use anti-aliasing (like myself), I hate the use of Unreal 5 hair because the form of anti-aliasing this game used is the worst one available meaning the entire image becomes blurry. Characters using this new hair include Rize, Witcher collection, the newest Ada skin, Rick and Daryl. If BHVR went back to the old way hair was done, you wouldn't have this issue.

Dude, you're complaining that your 10 year old android tablet doesn't look great running a live service game?
