Keys don't count as unlocking chests for quests

SUMMARY OF THE ISSUE:
When using keys to unlock chests, they can trigger Calm Spirit (meaning they count as "opening chests" in some capacity,) but they do not provide progress for quests.
Unsure if this is for all quests, but it did not provide progress for The Last Place You Look, a mission from TOME 1 Level 1

PLATFORM: PC

STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW THE ISSUE OCCURED:
-Enabled "The Last Place You Look"
-As Bill, equipped a Skeleton Key and played two matches
FIRST MATCH
-Skeleton Key with Unique Wedding Ring and Shrill Whistle add-ons, Coconut Scream Pie offering, Plunderer's Instinct, Streetwise, Urban Evasion, and Quick & Quiet perks
SECOND MATCH
-Skeleton Key with Unique Wedding Ring and Blood Amber add-ons, Shiny Coin offering, Plunderer's Instinct, Streetwise, Urban Evasion, Calm Spirit perks
-Throughout both matches opened every chest, using the Skeleton Key for all but two of them
-Check progress on "The Last Place You Look," which is 2/5

VIDEO: I am unable to upload a video at this time, though I have one saved. I will upload when possible.

Can confirm that I encountered this bug as well. For some reason can't upload my logs here, but I do have a video clip of proof of my challenge not triggering after using a key to open both chests. It seems that whatever the key is coded to do now, it is not the same interaction as "opening a chest".

Can confirm a month later. Pretty annoying.
