Community managers and moderators
You guys need to seriously look into and address issues with both your moderators on different platforms and your community managers. I got banned on steam simply for having an opinion on a skin in the game, permanently banned from the entire community hub, for a game Im paying for.
Ive contacted you several times and all you tell me is that nothing is able to be done, which is absolutely ridiculous. You just dont care, which is extremely unprofessional. So no one is allowed to be critical of your game or have opinions on it, or the content you put out? Otherwise they get banned from the community. This makes you look incompetent and unprofessional hiring or putting these kind of people in place.

An opinion on a skin? Sounds awfully vague. Care to share?

It was when they added the drag skin for the artist ( gay btw ) . I simply asked what was its purpose and why was it in the game, that's it. Delete the post, whatever, but banning someone outright over that?

Forget it. There are people who exploit this power. That's how it is here too. I've also learned from experience that you can't talk reasonably to everyone. People form an opinion of you, and no matter how wrong it is, they won't question it.
I wouldn't waste any time on it.

I'm not interested in getting into the details of your ban, but I will say that the forums here are the most laid back these days (barring Twitter, because at most you'll get blocked). The Steam discussions have always been over moderated as far as I'm aware. I've seen some familiar faces on the subreddit too and that is also heavily moderated (it's unofficial so I'm not making any claims here, just saying that it seems odd to me). For me, it's one thing to get involved when there's something major going down. It's another when banter or opinions are moderated so heavily, especially when it's more in line with pointed criticism and nothing close to harassment.

This is why I don’t really bother with Steam discussions. It’s not even a DbD-exclusive thing imho. Pretty much every Steam community I’ve ever been in has been over moderated. I saw someone get banned for saying “lol” one time in a different community.

That\s a good point.

First of all, Moderators dont discuss bans here, you can get banned from here because of that too.
Second if you have gripes take your violations of the Discord Server rules to social media or the reddit not here.-2 -
Going to lock this here. You would have had a chance on Steam discussions to get your post/s reviewed and clearly our moderation staff believed that the post was either ban worthy in itself or was part of the escalation process.
And as a reminder, the rules for this forum are also very similar:
