Why Are There So Few Killers Available For 2v8?
There's not a very big selection of killers, which is unfortunate, especially since a lot of the currently unavailable killers share similar game mechanics to the allowed selection (ie. The Huntress and The Trickster, The Mastermind and The Ghoul, The Ghostface and The Pig). It's very disappointing to load into a mode only to find out that I can't even play the characters I main. Will this be adjusted in the future?
It's also just odd to have a "play while you wait' mechanic when that time and effort could have gone to optimizing 2v8 such as making other killers playable and fixing queue time. Why is it there was time given to this particular feature which feels like it doesn't contribute anything to the 2v8 experience?

Keep in mind that for every licensed killer they probably need to talk to the license holders about their inclusion in the new game mode where they can interact with other killers. It sounds very simple but this probably takes a lot of time and effort, and the license holders may also not like the idea of, for example, Wesker meeting Pyramid Head (yeah i know it sounds silly, but it can happen).
About the queue time, honestly… is there anything they can really do? By the nature of the 2v8 game mode, people will keep playing mostly killer probably. Playing with other 4 survivors is a cool feature but the real deal is to be able to play with another killer, or even invite a friend to play killer together. I think that will never change and the devs can "help" with these problems by adding the BP bonus or the new "play while you wait" mode, but they cannot do anything to make both sides have a balanced player count.

I don't understand what's stopping them from adding original killers, but the person above explained quite well why absolutely all killers are unavailable + queues will never be ideal

Cause Killers need significant changes to function will in the new game mode and those changes need to be tested too.
As well as changes to other Killers from recent feedback.1 -
they also need to program the bots so they aren't either a free win as survivor or killer.

I'm not sure who is original or not but I think trickster, artist, clown would be fine in the mode, maybe even doctor but global madness can be problematic I guess, then again they added the worst of all, legion…
just pls keep plague out of this mode forever
