How do you deal with toxic end-game chat?

I mean stuff like this makes me not want to play killer at all. Especially after a game of teabagging and flashlight spamming and at the end I have to hear them insult me regardless if I win or lose. Im rank 4 on pc atm and its very annoying. I cant just not reply and leave.

    The little triple arrow at the bottom right, click it and chat is gone forever til you open it

    Close the post-chat window and leave it permanently closed. Saves you a lot of hassle.

    If you win just give them an "EZ babysurvivor git gud".

    But in general its best to just leave the lobby and not stay around for the chat.

    @drunky26 get better. That's the only thing you can do. It's obvious that when we get mad over endgame chat, it's not really about the trash talk, it's about us losing. Don't lose. See how mouthy they are once you managed to destroy them. Ignore their rules (the usual stuff about camping, tunneling, playing scummy, whatever). Your duty is not to adhere to whatever rules others make up about "fairness" and such nonsense. Your duty is to annihilate survivors. They're vermin. They're worthless.

    That's generally a good rule for life too by the way. Win, always. Destroy anyone in your way. Losing is never "bad luck" or "having dealt a bad hand", it's a moral failure. If they defeat you, you deserve whatever insults come your way. It's the winner's right.

    I wouldn't hide it. It is half of the fun I get from Dead by Daylight when I play killer. I laugh my ass off at the petty insults of salty survivors, I feel great pleasure knowing I just ruined someones day. When I lose I just write "GG", take the heat and leave  ;)

    I respond with something like "have a lovely day." or something sexual like "insult me more daddy." Usually throws them off their game and I get a good laugh out of their reactions.

    lol nice, I always thought something like "Well I'm off to motorboat my wife's enormous breasts so I guess I win right?" shuts them up pretty quick.

    When they do send me a message I give a single response and block them.

    I have messages from non-friends off so if they are determined to shower me in salt, they have to send a friend request with a message attached ...and even then it's insta-block time.

    That’s the same way I have my PS4 messages set-up. Although it’s not usually when I am killer that I get messages, it’s normally my own teammates when I play survivor. One time this guy was mad because I left as soon as I opened the exit gate when I actually had something to do in my actual life so I was rushed. People just don’t think with their brains sometimes, they let their emotions get the best of them.

    I just set my messaging to private on Xbox. I don't have time to deal with kids who are butt hurt over a video game.

    I start to talk about my favorite gay pornstars and ask them if they know anybody so that I can watch. Sometimes they give interesting answers.

    Just remember, your not responsible for their fun, ESPECIALLY if they are toxic. Play the style that suites you and is fun, then just leave. Offer a GG but past that your not obligated tot talk or give 2 .

    I ignore it since a lot of time it's just people blowing off steam and the really toxic stuff I simply report them for the mods to whack em.
