2v8 hook soft lock preventing hatch spawn

SUMMARY OF THE ISSUE: Survivor got unhooked last second, then died immediately after. Player icon continued to show she was hooked for the rest of the game and hatch never spawned.
PLATFORM: Steam
STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW THE ISSUE OCCURED: In 2v8 game mode I unhooked a teammate just as their hook timer ran out. once they were unhooked they instantly died and fell to the floor as if they had been Mori'd. The rest of the game their played icon still showed they were on the hook. At the end of the match the hatches never spawned.
