Hollow Knight Chapter
Hollow Knight is not just a "cute little bug game". It is a psychological horror, with a looming existential threat wrapped up in the guise of a little cute game. If you look at its dark horrific themes, it would be a great addition to the DBD community and overall a fun chapter. This is my idea for the killer, and the killer skins that could be released in this chapter. BHVR, PLEASE listen to me. I'm an avid participant in this game and this would work so well with the already existing game. I also don't think team cherry will be opposed to this crossover, especially if the fans want it because that's what we love about team cherry. All they do is for the fans. Now without further ado, lets get into the skins first.
Strong ideas:
The Pure Vessel (Knight): Big creature in full plate wielding a large sword and wearing a cape, who summons undead spirits to aid him? Sounds like The Knight.
The Broken Vessel (Blight): Hunched over lunatic constantly dripping bright yellow substance who likes running into things? You just described both The Broken Vessel and The Blight.
Banshee (Nurse): Glowing figure who shrieks as she blinks through walls but moves slowly otherwise? It fits lovely.
Hornet (Phantom*): Similar figure and move set not to mention that hearing SHAW every now and again would be perfect.
Ideas that would need some updates to be added:
Shade (Mastermind): This would be epic especially if you made it to where the grab is a shade dash cause the tentacle just looks so similar to a shade's tendril.
Grimm (Dark Lord): This has the most stretch because even though the designs fit, the wolf form and bat form would need to look slightly different to be satisfactory.
Now for the killer, The Phantom. A 4.4 killer with a 40 meter terror radius and average height, the Phantom is a mobility based ranged killer. Let's dive into her perks.
- (Hex/not Hex) Billowing Fog: For 40/50/60 seconds after hooking a survivor, a dense white fog appears within a range equal to your usual terror radius size. (The fog is dark mist but white and the modifier is 110/125/140% thickness)
2. Hex: Steam Blast: When this totem is cleaned, deal a damage to the survivor who cleansed it. Then, if the survivor is not in the dying state, a random dull totem becomes a hex totem associated with this perk. The survivor who broke it sees the new hex's aura for 8 seconds.
Survivors are 3/5/7% slower at healing and repairing generators for every broken totem on the map.
3. Scourge Hook: Misty Step: After hooking a survivor on a scourge hook, this perk activates for 10/20/30 seconds, during which the auras of hooks are revealed to you. Looking at a hook and pressing special ability 1 teleports you to the hook and reveals your aura to all survivors for 3 seconds.
Cannot be performed if the target hook or any hook within 20 meters of the target hook has had a survivor on it in the last 20 seconds.
Now for the killer power, Weaving Pin.
Weaving Pin
Special Ability: Throw. Press LMB to ready your Pin and then press RMB to launch it forward (it is not affected by gravity) until it hits the environment, hits a survivor, or reaches 24 meters away where it hovers there (Or sticks inside the survivor). If the Pin leaves a 30 meter range of you it gets recalled, and goes on cooldown for 20 seconds.
After a short delay, you may reactivate the ability to launch yourself teleporting through walls until you reach. You then have a short window to attack dealing a damage, before picking your pin up and spending a small amount of time doing so.
If you fall a great height due to teleporting in the air, then you slam down to the ground, giving 10% hindered for 5 seconds to any survivors within 10 meters of the impact. After a short delay, you can mover and attack like normal.
Special Ability: Jab. While you do not posses your pin, you can make a jab attack that deals a damage, however you cannot make a lunge attack without your weapon.
I believe this is a fun and creative idea that fits Phantom's playstyle. Now for the addons. Phantom is a killer who has 2 Iridescent, 4 Purple, 5 Blue, 5 Green, and 4 Brown addons.
Iridescent:
Captured Lumafly: If you hit a pallet, breakable wall, or a non-regressing generator with your slash you damage/break it.
Fractured Mask: While you do not posses your Pin you are Undetectable and perform the break action 50% faster.
Purple:
Silk Cocoon: If you hit a wall with your pin, you may launch yourself to it using Ctrl instead. If so you teleport through the wall, but lose the chance to attack before the pickup animation.
Cross Stitch: While you do not posses your Pin and a survivor successfully stuns you with a pallet, recall your Pin putting it on a 20 cool down. This breaks the pallet.
Muck Maggots: If a survivor struck with your Pin leaves the range, after recalling it, they become broken for 40 seconds. (Yes this injures them until the broken leaves.)
Organ Pipe: While you do not posses your pin, you are Undetectable. Your Pin gains an illusory terror radius of 40 meters.
Blue:
Silk Spool: Increases the range your Pin can be thrown by 10 meters. Increases the range at which your Pin is recalled by 12 meters.
Runes: Increases the range of the slam attack by 4 meters.
Sharpened Tip: Attacks made after reclaiming your Pin apply Hemorrhaged for 70 seconds.
Mask Shard: If your Pin lands within 5 meters of a generator, for the next 30 seconds, view the generators progress using shades from white to red.
Weighted Tip: Applies gravity to the Pin.
Green:
Spool Extender: Increases the range your Pin can be thrown by 6 meters. Increases the range at which your Pin is recalled by 8 meters.
Jagged Tip: Attacks made after reclaiming your Pin apply Mangled for 60 seconds.
Extended Tip: Attacks made after reclaiming your Pin have a 10% longer lunge.
Light-Weight Shaft: Reduces the Pickup Pin animation by 15%.
Barbed Hook: Increases the Hindered given by the slam attack by 3%.
Brown:
Scrap of Cloth: Attacks made after reclaiming your Pin deal no damage unless you hit with the Pin directly in the first place. Grants + 300 Blood Points for hitting the survivors with this attack.
Ivory Key: View the destination of the Pin while readying it.
Spool Fragment: Increases the range your Pin can be thrown by 4 meters. Increases the range at which your Pin is recalled by 6 meters.
Pipe Fragment: While you do not posses your Pin and for 3 seconds after receiving it again, your Terror Radius is reduced by 15 meters.
BHVR, I REALLY hope you take a look at this. It has a LOT of potential. So PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, think about it. Hollow Knight may be 2d but you did add Ken Kenaki, so… Anyways, Hollow Knight may not be classified under Horror, but its Lore, Plot, Themes, and Characters make it seem like it. For a map you could do Dirtmouth, or Bonebottom, or even The Mist. BHVR, I love your game but hear me out. Hollow Knight should be the next liscense.
