A quiet place chapter
I dont have any exact stats or lore, but i do have a general power idea and perk set.
[**Hunting by sound**]
*Who needs eyes frfr*
Special effect - Blinded:
The death angel is unable to see any survivors, pallets, or generators naturally. And can only see them via
A: their auras
B: Their sound level
*SOUND:*
All previously mentioned invisible entities emit some level of noise that can be seen by the death angel.
These include:
Survivors fast-vaulting, walking, sprinting.
Pallets being dropped, reset, etc.
Generators based on their repair progress.
A survivor’s heartbeat if the death angel is within 8 meters of them.
Special action (survivor) - Quiet actions
While crouched, survivors are imperceivable to the death angel.
While crouched, any action a survivor attempts will be a quiet variant. (50% slower, but imperceivable to the death angel.)
Special action (killer) - echolocation
While stationary, press the power button to begin echolocating.
Echolocating allows you to sense all aforementioned invisible entities without them emitting sound. Even through walls. EXCEPT for stationary survivors. (Unless they are within the sound range of a generator with at least 20% repair progress.)
Any sensed survivor can be MARKED by pressing the power button while looking at them. (This has no cue for the survivor.)
Marked survivors can be seen through walls. With their aura being less visible depending on the amount of walls. (Pls no questions about treatment theatre)
Special attack - Rush
While echolocating, press the attack button on a sound to rush to its location at a speed of 5.4mps. Doing this automatically stops echolocation. (It’s also really really LOUD.)
If the death angel marks a survivor, they can be rushed to at a speed of 5.8mps. (EVEN LOUDER.)
If the marked survivor makes any sound while the death angel is within 16m of them, the death angel will pursue them and attempt to grab them. If successful, they are immediately picked up.
The death angel cannot rush over windows/vaults. Though it does destroy pallets in its way.
IRIDESCENT ADDONS:
Iridescent bag of sand.
*a bag of sand used to hide the sound of one’s footsteps. Now used to muffle the sound of impending doom.*
Rushing is silent, but you are slower while rushing.
(Normal rush speed 5.4mps > 4.8mps)
(Marked rush speed 5.8mps > 5.2mps)
Boat wreckage
*wreckage from a boat that brought silence and terror to a once loud and peaceful island.*
Survivors performing a rushed action immediately become marked.
Noise expands outward 20% further.
[**Ultra-Sensitivity**] - *The Death Angel.*
*Your sensitive hearing allows you to sense the slightest of movements around you. And allows you to have them removed swiftly.*
When a survivor in a 15/30/45 meter radius performs a rushed action, they suffer from the _exposed_ status effect for 10/20/30 seconds. And their grunts of pain become 50% louder.
Ultra-sensitivity has a cooldown of 60 seconds.
-# "Small noises: Safe. Loud noises: Not safe." -Lee Abbott.
[**Predatory Nature**] - *The Death Angel.*
*Living by instinct alone, you know that any sound other than your own must be snuffed out.*
When a survivor: stuns you with a pallet, blinds you in any way, or fails a healing/generator skill check; gain 1 token. Up to 10/15/20.
When you vault or break a pallet, gain 1% haste for each token for 2/4/8 seconds.
If more than 10/15/20 tokens are consumed, you also vault and break pallets 25% faster.
[**Hex: Frenzy**] - *The Death Angel.*
*The scarce food supply of your planet has forged you into something capable of a glorious frenzy.*
When you put a survivor into the *dying* state by any means, this hex becomes active.
While this hex is active: you cannot be stunned by pallets. And you gain 10% haste.
If you are stunned by a pallet: the pallet breaks, and you become 40% hindered for 1.8s.
Once there are no dying or hooked survivors, this hex totem becomes a dull totem and goes on cooldown.
This hex has a cooldown of 165/125/85 seconds.
