Dead by Daylight Concept

Killer Name: The Deceiver

Speed: 4.6 m/s

Terror Radius: 32m

Special Power: The Deceiver

This power has two abilities.

Ability 1: Self-Disguise

Activated by pressing the Secondary Power button, this ability allows the killer to absorb the DNA of the last survivor they hit and disguise themselves as that survivor. While disguised, the killer switches to a third-person perspective, their terror radius disappears, and their red eyes are hidden. To other survivors, the killer appears to be a real survivor — shown in an injured state.

This disguise lasts up to 2 minutes and has a 30-second cooldown.

While disguised, the killer produces no footstep sounds.

If the killer heals an injured survivor — or is healed by one — while in this state, the target survivor is put into the dying state upon completion of the healing action.

When the disguise is deactivated, the killer briefly slows down. Survivors within 5 meters suffer a one-stage health penalty, and survivors within 10 meters let out a scream.

Ability 2: Disguise Trap

Traps are placed using the Primary Power button and can be installed on generatorswindows, and dropped pallets.

The killer holds a maximum of 5 traps. When all 5 are deployed and a new trap is placed, the oldest trap is automatically removed and replaced.

Traps installed on structures are visually indistinguishable from normal structures and cannot be removed by survivors.

However, if a survivor is currently disguised as the killer, structures with traps installed will appear to have chunks of red flesh attached to them — though they still cannot be removed.

When a survivor interacts with a trapped structure, they appear to other survivors as the killer. While disguised as the killer, that survivor:

  • Cannot be healed
  • Cannot interact with generators or other survivors
  • Emits a terror radius and red eye glow

Survivors can remove this effect by interacting with a Cleansing Fountain found at various locations across the map.

This effect lasts for 1 minute.

If a survivor is already disguised as the killer and another survivor interacts with a trapped structure, that second survivor suffers a brief muscle tear (Haemorrhage effect).

Perks

You are deception, manipulation, and trickery itself. Throw the survivors into confusion.

Perk 1: Right of Way

When a survivor vaults a window, all other survivors must vault that same window from the opposite direction.

This effect applies to up to 2 / 3 / 4 windows and lasts 5 / 6 / 7 seconds.

Perk 2: Short-Tempered

You reach fury faster, and your movement speed increases when enraged.

  • Bloodlust activation time reduced by 0.5 / 1 / 1.5 seconds
  • Movement speed during Bloodlust increased by 0.5 / 1 / 1.5 m/s

Perk 3: Burning Vengeance

You do not forgive survivors who dare to fight back.

If you are stunned by any means 6 / 5 / 4 times, the last survivor to stun you becomes Exposed for 20 / 25 / 30 seconds.

    Here's a natural English translation:

    Honestly, when I was designing this killer, I didn't really consider counterplay against multi-SWF groups communicating through Discord or other means — that's a fair criticism.

    As an additional suggestion, it might help to either add traps to make catching survivors easier, or give the disguised survivor some bonus effects — like a movement speed boost or Undetectable — so the ability itself becomes more directly useful for actually catching survivors. Alternatively, it could be interesting if the killer's Killer Instinct triggered whenever another survivor is nearby the disguised survivor.
