Grimoire Results
The results are out,
The chapter name is now the "Chorus of Sin",
The survivors name is Aurora, her default outfit is the purple stargazer robe, and her head accessories are the lone pair of earrings.
Then the killers title is "The Judgment", The killer weapon is the staff, and the killer design that was selected was the more angelic looking one with the blue wings and the aura around it.

I am somewhat surprised by the killer weapon and title results:
The killer design is really cool and I am happy that it won.
The weapon, dear god all the options were bad(especially the staff and hammer). Think about how they would look when playing the killer they would most likely be held like how trickster holds his bat, and the busy and large design of both the staff and hammer could obscure a decent chunk of the screen and be quite distracting. The morning star on the other hand while is could be like the plagues weapon where you rarely see it wouldn't take up nearly as much of the screen as the other two. I really hope the killer summons the staff and doesn't hold it the whole time(like spirit for example)
The title is meh. All the options had some merit, I personally voted for "The Apocalypse" as I felt it would be the entity tormenting this divine being with the title.
As for the survivor I have nothing to say, all the options I liked won so it wasn't all bad in the end.

Turns out they put the wrong killer design in their first tweet. It's the first design that won/the one with moth looking wings.

I definitely agree with you about the 2nd design. It looked way too much like a victim, not imposing like how i've been imagining the killer to be. The one that has won, the first, i think is pretty decent overall.
I liked the flail weapon, a bit sad it didn't win. I like the one that won over the hammer, though.
I think judgment is okay, doesn't really stand out a whole lot but it will probably suit their gameplay well.
I love the survivor design so far. I was a bit worried about how the accessory and outfit designs were gonna end up looking like together but i think the combo that has won is great.0 -
I'm a huge fan of most of these. With the survivor the only thing that didn't follow my vote was the name. Grace fit so well, not a huge fan of aurora, but my friends kid is called aurora so might just be that I'm biased to seeing it as a young person's name. I'm just super glad she got the good outfit and didn't end up with those goofy looking glasses or headbands.
As for the killer also happy. Definitely glad they got the staff as the hammer/flail didn't feel particularly angelic in theme for me. Again name wasn't what i would've picked but I'm super eager to see this new chapter

I was on team flail as well, let's commiserate the loss of the cool weapon.
Through my worry with the busy design and how large the staff appears to be in the art still stands.

Thankfully the better killer design was the real winner.
As for the Survivor… Aurora? Really? I understand that all the names were pretty bad, but now the Sleeping Beauty/Disney princess jokes are never going to end.

Better killer design
The eyeball hodgepodge was the most uninspired and predictable choice, so of course it won, but not on it being the better choice. The issue with these grimoire votes is the community has absolutely 0 interest in making a thematically interesting, consistent, and fresh chapter at all.
A better combo would have been the solid white killer design with the staff that won, GRACE also having solid white robes and no accessories but the battle scar. The chapter name should have been Ashes of Absoultion and here's why:
Grace could have served as a priest for some deeply religious church, and upon uncovering a deep conspiracy, realizes that she has been serving a deeply corrupt mortal institution instead of the god(s) she believes in, leading to numerous deaths and other acts of sin. As punishment, her deity sends an archangel to purge the corruption from the church, including Grace, who is now caught between begging for forgiveness of something she was unaware of, or hiding from punishment. In her fear of the divine and a moment of weakness, she chooses to run and hide, resulting in the name of the chapter: Ashes of Absoultion. Absolution is the formal release from guilt, which could have been offered to her, but since she chose to run and doubt her faith, she burnt the metaphorical bridge, and all that's left are ashes; Ashes of Absoultion.
The reason the solid white works here is because the horror does not come from some eldritch abomination, but rather from the realization that the god you believed in for protection but turned away from is indeed coming for you. The juxtaposition of the "holy" colors being worn by the being hunting you would be brand new for dbd, but no, we get the same old and tired body horror slop.

I really wish Aurora wasn't even an option to vote for as a name it's kind of awkward for me to pronounce.

"The Judgement" feels a little awkward to me. Like I know we have "The Executioner" I feel like judgement would be like a power name rather than the actual killer itself.

Grace does fit the theme better, though RE9 coming out so close to the vote probably made it seem less unique to a lot of people.

The killer choices were all those that I voted for so I am happy. Main reason why I did not chose the flail is that there is already killer with chain weapon (Plague). The staff also fits better for a character that is angelic in design if the flail would have been a whip I might have voted for that as that is often the weapon of choice to people who want to atone. I would also see the staff fit better with the killers power as its a beam of light that he can use the staff to channel anyway. Flail would not be that good for that in my opinion.

The staff was my first choice but then I was worried how the weapon will look ingame? Is it used like a spear or the staff from Blight? Without seeing this the flail was my choice to be safe. Instead doing physically damage, the staff could have magic effects to hit the targets. That would be awesome.
I don't liked all of the killer names but my choice was "The Apokalypse", too. However it's just a name.
"The Judgement" sounds more like a killer with a hammer.

Every I voted for was selected which makes me happy, but "The Judgement" is just... bad. I personally picked "The Messenger" because my idea of this killer is that it misinterprets its beliefs, and therefor punishes people completely unjustified

Honestly I'm pleasantly surprised this community voted killer thing is even happening. Never would've imagined it would have a few years ago. Very cool!

Yeah garece has some conection to religion and binds more to the chapter for me than aurora.
