Why do people leave in lobby with a Kwon Tae-young?

Kinda a dumb question and very anecdotal, but the last two days playing with my duo or solo, every lobby always has a couple leavers before we get into the game whenever I join in with a Kwon.

Is there some kinda bug with him, or do people not like him? I don’t know the reception around him because he’s so new. Is he like the new sable or default Dwight/meg?

    Sometimes when there is a new surv some people expect you to try for adept and use not so good perks or so.

    Thats my only explaination.

    I've been playing him since release and I haven't had this experience.

    Could be leaving for other reasons? Don't know.

    Sounds like you're just unlucky. Haven't seen anyone leave my lobbies, when i play as him so far.

    I saw people dodge lobbies and I think it has nothing to do with the survivor you are playing its just them doing it for what ever reason they think its good for them. Most of the time its just petty reasons that don't make sense for most people.

    as an aside, most of the leavers were usually comp style ace’s/nea’s/claudettes.

    and the adept angle I could buy, but his perks arent even that bad, another healing perk, a mid at best obsession perk, and 5 steps ahead is just power crept windows, idk maybe to me it seems a little goofy to dodge on the off chance someone is going for an adept, like survivor is plenty strong at the moment you don’t need 16 top tier meta perks in your random pub lobbies when solo-duo queueing.
    that’s just my read.

    That heal perk is surprisingly good I have been running it with other perks and its good for late game healing.

    I haven't noticed any excess dodging and I've had one or two of this guy in pretty much all my lobbies. I haven't heard any stigma related to him either.
