Skull Merchant Rework
I am a Skull Merchant Main. Been one since she first dropped and loved the thrill of the chase. Wasn't a Chess Grandmaster, and actually used her Drones to put sections of the map under lock and key so chasing through it would give me the advantage. Behavior then took Adriana out back and seemingly forgot they have to actually rework her! Let's just say the All-Kill Comeback Chapter has me pinging for a Tools of Torment Comeback.
So, screw it, "Fine, I'll do it myself."
The first page is basically just describing how Drones spotting you works now. It's like a Pink Glyph, remember those things? The Beam is also wider, so Survivors can't just stand still for a half second and completely ignore it. I have also decided to remove Haste effects, but keep Undetectable.
This page describes the Radar. I wanted to further the idea of the Skull Merchant using tech to track. Radar is always active and pressing the button zooms it out, showing her a map of her hunting grounds. I also included the Last Known Position (LKP) to better track people who just kinda stepped into a Drone's Beam for a second or so, or you weren't paying attention.
This is what I've done to give Skully a Chase Power. They orbit the Skull Merchant when active and function like Ghostface and Unknown. Yes, it's dubious to use sight mechanics, but the Chase Drone will emit a Beam, so all parties involved know when things are happening.
I've also given Claw Traps a full makeover. I've brought back their threatening demeanor, and made Oblivious basekit for them to better help the Skull Merchant hunt. They do not injure, and neither does the Taze, but it does pause movement and interactions. The HUD changes, btw, were to make Claw Traps a little clearer to understand.
Below this point are Add-Ons! Can't forget those bad boys! I will, however, state that I did fiddle around with her Backstory and her Add-Ons, "borrowing" some from other Killers to add to her. If you want a Reworked Backstory (yes, I made one), it'll be given if asked… hopefully. I don't exactly know how sending links on the forums works, but let's hope everything works fine! Oh! And if you don't care about Add-Ons or even some Voice Lines that I gave her at the end (wink wink!), then you can stop reading right now… if you want!
With Add-Ons done, here are some voice lines for The Skull Merchant! I went the route of her being mentally broken and thinking that she literally is the Skull Merchant from the comics she drew. In her eyes, she's the hero, not knowing that (almost) everyone is innocent. They are very cheesy lines because I was going for what an old comic book hero would say, with some instances of the Skull Merchant faltering and Adriana beginning to realize what's going on.
