Killer Suggestion [SCP-096]
Hello my name is Emilia and ive created my own Concept for a Killer for SCP-096 called The Shy One:
Killer Name: The Shy One
Realm: Containment Breach
A ruined underground research facility filled with flickering lights, broken blast doors, observation chambers, and long sterile hallways stained by panic and blood.
Terror Radius
24 meters (while calm)
40 meters (while enraged)
Movement Speed
4.4 m/s (110%) while calm
4.8 m/s (120%) while enraged
Height
Tall
Power: Don't Look At Me
The Shy One begins the trial in a passive, slouched state, covering its face and moving quietly.
Survivors who look directly at The Shy One’s face for too long trigger its rage.
Special Mechanic: Face Exposure
When a Survivor has direct line of sight to The Shy One’s face for 1.5 seconds, they gain Marked by Shame.
This causes:
Loud global scream from The Shy One
Killer Instinct reveals the Survivor for 5 seconds
The Shy One enters Enraged State
That Survivor becomes the Target
The Target suffers from:
Oblivious
Exhausted
Cannot perform rushed vaults silently
Enraged State
During Enrged State:
Movement speed increases to 120%
Breaks pallets and walls 30% faster
Vaults windows faster
Cannot be stunned by pallets (instead slows briefly)
Can leap over dropped pallets by holding Power button
The Shy One remains enraged until:
The Target is downed, OR
60 seconds pass without chase
Afterward, it enters a brief cooldown and returns to passive state.
Secondary Ability: Blind Panic
Hold Active Ability to emit a horrifying shriek.
Survivors within 20 meters:
scream
reveal location
suffer Blindness for 30 seconds
Cooldown: 45 seconds
This helps punish survivors hiding nearby or trying to bodyblock.
Killer Perks
Hex: No Witnesses
Those who see too much never live to tell.
When a Survivor blinds or stuns you:
gain 1 Token (max 5)
Each Token causes:
healing speed reduced by 4%
At 5 Tokens:
all dull totems become rekindled Hex Totems
"It has breached containment."
Unnatural Silence
Panic kills sound first.
When a Survivor enters your Terror Radius while not in chase:
their grunts of pain are suppressed
after 8 seconds, they suffer Oblivious for 20 seconds
Cooldown: 40 seconds per Survivor
Inevitable Pursuit
Running only delays it.
Each time a Survivor escapes chase:
gain 1 Token
At 3 Tokens:
your next chase grants:
5% Haste for 20 seconds
Tokens are then consumed.
Mori
The Survivor accidentally looks directly at its face.
They freeze in terror.
The Shy One slowly lowers its hands.
The Survivor begins screaming.
Instantly, it launches forward with impossible speed, tears them apart violently, then returns to kneeling and covering its face.
Silence follows.
Visual Design Notes
Unlike many killers, The Shy One should feel terrifying because of:
sudden speed
audio escalation
forced eye-contact mechanics
psychological pressure
The horror comes from trying not to look at it.
Players should constantly think:
“Where is its face?”
instead of
“Where is the killer?”
Counterplay
Survivors can:
avoid direct facial line of sight
use corners carefully
force rage at bad times
split pressure while it tunnels a Target
use stealth during cooldown state
This keeps the killer strong but fair.
