DBD 10th Anniversary Misleading

I just feel disappointed about the fact that misleading us to think the new killer was Pennywise or Slenderman was disappointing. First, we had a teaser that seemed like the anniversary killer was going to be Pennywise, then another teaser led us to think it was Slenderman. Now, the stream has showed us that the real killer is Jason Voorhees. It could have been Pennywise or Slenderman, but they chose Jason.

    but we don’t know if it could actually have been Pennywise, as Stephen King has turned them down in the past and we shouldnt just expect him to change his stance just because we want it? Could still happen but we shouldnt just expect that.

    The video didnt tease Pennywise, it was talking about the Entity which just happens to have plenty of similar attributes to Pennywise. And any teases like the stromdrain could just be coincidences or just homages to Stephen Kings work.

    I have never heard anything about Slenderman. Or it and I’ve only seen a pennywise movie once. I would never take any of that over an Icon like Jason. They don’t have that impact to be a license let alone for 10 years anniversary.

    I mean to be fair, it’s about putting the pieces together. It’s suppose to throw you curve balls.

    It sounds like you’re disappointed that it’s been revealed to be Jason. If it’s not your style of license, it’s understandable.

    Well I do love Jason Voorhes he is one of my favorite characters but they kinda confused me

    Pope was right. It's wild that now BHVR is being admonished for teasing a release.

    I can agree that, in theory, there is a line. I don't like the idea of BHVR teeing up red herrings for the purposes of gathering marketing data or etc.

    However, I don't think it was crossed. Nothing about the teasers were "misleading", and the reason why Pennywise/Slenderman seemed to have evidence is because The Entity is comparable to both of them, esepcially Pennywise. If you filtered out that stuff that could be explained as The Entity itself, Jason seemed like the frontrunner even before the cabin stream started.
