Killer concept : The Eclipse
"It is not the darkness that should frighten you... but what waits within it."
A legendary assassin consumed by an ancient entity born from mankind's fear. The Eclipse no longer hunts for coin or vengeance—it exists only to feed the shadows with fresh souls.
Weapon: Ritual Sickle
Power: Veil of the Abyss
Power: Veil of the AbyssRather than relying on brute strength or overwhelming speed, The Eclipse is a psychological predator that manipulates darkness and fear to isolate its victims.
Shadow Walk
Hold the Power button to dissolve into living darkness.
While in Shadow Walk:
- Your Terror Radius is suppressed.
- Footstep sounds are greatly reduced.
- Movement Speed is increased by 15%.
- Survivors hear only distant whispers.
The Eclipse cannot attack while in Shadow Walk.
After leaving Shadow Walk, there is a brief 0.8 second manifestation before attacking.
The goal is to make survivors feel like the Killer appears from impossible angles.
Mark of DeathEach successful dagger strike applies one Mark of Death.
A survivor can accumulate up to 3 Marks.
1 Mark
- Slightly reduced vision.
- Distorted environmental sounds.
- Whispering voices become audible.
2 Marks
- Illusions of The Eclipse occasionally appear.
- Fake Terror Radius pulses occur.
- Brief phantom footsteps echo nearby.
Survivors begin questioning what is real.
3 Marks
- Survivors suffer from Blindness.
- Whenever a fully Marked survivor remains still for several seconds, The Eclipse briefly sees their Aura.
No one can hide forever.
Special Attack: Reaper's ArcHold the Secondary Attack button to charge a devastating sweeping strike.
The Eclipse swings its massive ritual sickle in a wide 180-degree arc.
The attack:
- Can hit multiple survivors.
- Reaches farther than a normal attack.
- Can strike over dropped pallets.
However:
- Long charge time.
- Significant recovery if missed.
It rewards prediction instead of reaction.
Shadow DaggersInstead of throwing knives like Trickster, The Eclipse can embed cursed daggers into walls or scenery.
Each dagger creates a Shadow Zone lasting several seconds.
Inside the zone:
- Survivors have reduced visibility.
- Sounds become muffled.
- The Eclipse gains increased movement speed while moving through the darkness.
The battlefield slowly becomes a hunting ground under the Killer's control.
Ultimate Ability: Domain of ShadowsAfter enough Marks of Death have been applied, The Eclipse may unleash Domain of Shadows.
For 20 seconds, the Entity's darkness engulfs the Trial.
Effects include:
- Extremely dense supernatural fog.
- Terror Radius completely disappears.
- Generators become difficult to locate.
- Whispering voices surround every survivor.
- Shadow copies of The Eclipse appear throughout the map.
Only one is real.
The others exist only to feed panic.
Mori – The Final ShadowThe survivor desperately crawls away.
The Eclipse calmly kneels beside them and drives a dagger into their chest.
The victim freezes.
Behind the Killer, an enormous shadow creature slowly rises from the darkness.
Without haste, The Eclipse draws its sickle across the survivor's throat.
The body dissolves into black smoke, consumed by the abyss.
Nothing remains.

The Last Witness
"You don't beat the darkness by running from it... you survive by seeing through it."
A former investigator specializing in unexplained disappearances, Elias Voss became the only known survivor of the massacre caused by The Eclipse. Haunted by what he witnessed, he dedicated his life to studying the creatures that hunt beyond human understanding.
He knows monsters cannot always be outrun.
Sometimes...
They must simply be endured.
Unique Perk 1 — Steady Mind"Fear clouds the senses. Discipline clears them."
Years of facing the impossible have taught you to remain calm under unimaginable pressure.
Each time you enter the Killer's Terror Radius, you gain one Calm Token, up to a maximum of 5.
Upon reaching 5 Tokens:
- Blindness, Oblivious, and Hallucination effects are reduced by 25/35/45%.
The Tokens are then consumed.
"Panic is the first thing the darkness takes from you. Don't give it the chance."
Unique Perk 2 — Trust Your Instinct"Your eyes can lie. Your instincts never do."
Whenever you are affected by:
- a fake Terror Radius,
- an illusion,
- or any deceptive visual effect created by the Killer,
you gain a 3/4/5% Haste status effect for 2 seconds.
Cooldown: 30 seconds.
"When nothing makes sense... stop looking. Start feeling."
Unique Perk 3 — Face the Darkness"If the monster wants to be seen... let it."
After standing still for 4 seconds, press the Active Ability button to steel your resolve.
For the next 8 seconds:
- You ignore vision-reducing effects.
- Dense fog has little effect on your visibility.
- Killer-generated visual illusions disappear.
After the effect ends, you suffer from Exhausted for 50/45/40 seconds.
"The darkness cannot deceive someone who refuses to fear it."
Character DesignElias Voss is not a survivor who repairs generators faster or runs farther than anyone else.
Instead, he is a survivor built around mental resilience.
While others lose themselves to fear...
Elias remains focused.
His perks reward composure, awareness, and the ability to distinguish reality from illusion.
Perk Icon ConceptsSteady Mind
An unblinking eye surrounded by swirling black smoke.
Trust Your Instinct
A lone wolf's paw print cutting through a shadow.
Face the Darkness
A glowing lantern standing against an overwhelming wall of darkness.
LoreWhen Elias first encountered The Eclipse, he never saw its face.
Only the crescent-shaped helmet emerging from the darkness.
His companions screamed as they struck at shadows that weren't there.
They ran.
They begged.
They died.
Elias remained perfectly still.
In that moment, he understood what no one else had.
The creature did not feed on flesh...
It fed on fear.
And as long as his mind remained unbroken...
The Eclipse would never truly possess him.
Character Dynamic
Elias Voss and The Eclipse are two halves of the same story.
One is the embodiment of fear itself.
The other is proof that fear can be resisted.
Their gameplay philosophies mirror each other perfectly:
- The Eclipse overwhelms survivors with darkness, illusions, and psychological pressure.
- Elias Voss counters those tactics through discipline, clarity, and unwavering resolve.
They share a unique rivalry similar to Laurie Strode vs. Michael Myers or Alan Wake vs. The Dark Presence—one born not from strength, but from the eternal struggle between terror and the will to endure.

Design Inspiration
The Eclipse combines elements of:
- Ghost Face's stealth and stalking.
- The Dredge's supernatural horror.
- The Unknown's reality-warping deception.
However, its identity is entirely its own: an ancient shadow assassin whose greatest weapon is fear itself.
Its crescent-shaped helmet creates an unmistakable silhouette, making it instantly recognizable—even from the far end of a dark corridor. Survivors don't fear what they can see... they fear the moment they realize The Eclipse has already been watching them.
