[Survivor Concept] Jackson Morriars - The Unsuccessful Comedian
Hi everyone! I'd love to share my original concept for a new Survivor.
====================================NEW SURVIVOR: JACKSON MORRIARS
31 years old, an unsuccessful American comedian.
[CHARACTER BIOGRAPHY]
Chapter 1: "A Nice Stage"
Day after day, Morriars repeated his stand-up routines and chatters that resembled clumsy comedy in rundown pubs and noisy, rowdy bars.
All for the sake of one day standing on the main stage.
"There are people watching me even in a place like this. Look at me. Look at me and laugh. Ah, see? Look, you laughed just now. I can do this if I try. Overconfident? No way. Because you're laughing. You're the one making fun of me... well, whatever. Now, for my next act, it's based on my real-life experience..."
"That happened on a certain day..." (His voice gets drowned out by the patrons' mocking laughter.)
... (Omitted the rest, assuming it's a bit clumsy and unfunny.)
Chapter 2: "A Dumpground. Except for Me"
However, reality was rotten.
Perhaps it was too natural to even say "however."
He was showered with thrown alcohol, blasted with insults and cold ridicule, robbed of his money, beaten, kicked, and thrown out. The miserable, godforsaken days continued. His mental state deteriorated, he drowned himself in alcohol, and he abandoned the path of comedy altogether.
All he did at home was read magazines, spew profanities, drink, watch successful comedians' talk shows while trying to copy their routines, get disgusted by the outcome, and self-harm.
During that time, offers kept coming from the sleazy pubs and bars where those vile individuals threw drinks at him, but he couldn't bring himself to go. What a joke, being a comedian.
"Everyone else can just drop dead. I’m never going back. I’d rather die than go."
— A few weeks later: "I have no money. I have to go."
Chapter 3: "Major Debut"
For the first time in a while, he was called to a gig at a disreputable pub. After throwing up the olives he ate that morning, he entered the establishment, only to find a dark, pitch-black fog had slaughtered everyone inside, including the patrons.
Splattered blood, viscera, eyeballs.
To Morriars, they looked like "glitter," "national flags," and "ping-pong balls." (If you ask whether ping-pong balls were actually there, the answer is no.)
Driven mad, Morriars perceived this as a sort of "show."
"Ah, finally... I have such a wonderful stage."
"You guys really love me after all, don't you?"
Holding a microphone, he approached the mutilated, lifeless heaps of flesh and began his talk show.
"Look at this, we have so many guests tonight!!! How is it? Is the alcohol kicking in?!"
Of course, there was no reply, but he put on a fun show. Fun? Well, it must have been fun for him.
Shortly after, the Entity attempted to invite him into the fog.
However, the Entity did not welcome him as a Killer. It decided to accept him as a Survivor. The reason? Simply because he was ludicrous, utterly pathetic, vile, stupid, and...
"Entertaining."
On August 17, 2012, Jackson Morriars, a resident of Texas, went missing. Police are urgently searching for his whereabouts and protection... (Omitted the rest, written as "because it's boring.")
====================================UNIQUE PERKS
- NICE JOKE
Activates while being carried by the Hunter.
Increases the difficulty of the Skill Checks triggered while wiggling.
The perk activates when you successfully hit 5 Skill Checks. By the Entity's whim, the Hunter is immobilized and rendered unable to act for 2.0 / 2.5 / 3.0 seconds.
Your wiggle progress continues even while the Hunter is immobilized.
However, failing a Skill Check disables your ability to wiggle for 2.5 seconds, and the effectiveness of this perk is halved.
Additionally, while being carried, it becomes impossible to escape via other Survivors' Flashlights or Pallet stuns. Instead, this effect is changed to increasing your initial wiggle progress by 18.9%.
"Hey, I'm telling a funny joke right now. Stay quiet and get lost." — Jackson Morriars - SPLATTER ON MY SHOULDER
- Penalty: When injured, your pools of blood and Grunts of Pain are increased by 25%. Your Terror Radius is also expanded by 15%, and your own healing speed is reduced by 25%. On top of that, the speed at which you are healed by others is reduced by 10%.
- Benefit: However, your repair speed when repairing a Generator alone is increased by 10 / 12 / 15%.
"The red stuff on my shoulder? This is, uh... a gift from the sun! Huh? I'm wrong? Hahaha!! ...This is why I hate boring people." — Jackson Morriars
- THE PERFECT STAGE
This perk activates when all Survivors are alive, or when all Survivors except yourself have been killed.
- When they are alive: Grants a 1.1 / 1.4 / 1.7% increase to your Movement speed and Action speed during a Chase, and the Hunter's aura becomes visible to you.
- When they are killed: Your Movement speed is reduced by 4.5 / 4.0 / 3.5%, but in return, the Hatch's aura is revealed to you, and you gain the Endurance status effect once per trial.
- Penalty: However, when the number of Survivors drops to exactly 2 (including yourself), your aura is revealed to the Hunter, and your Movement speed and Action speed are reduced by 1.2 / 1.0 / 0.8%.
"Everyone is here, it's a full house! It's a full house, stay quiet, stay quiet, stay quiet!! I told you they're here. They all came here to see me!" — Jackson Morriars
