Sorry guys, I spent 10 years on this, and I regret it...

The anti-camp system during the endgame collapse...
Developers, you’ll only earn respect once you start playing your own game.
What on earth gave you the idea that the anti-camp system should still be active during the endgame? The circus I’m seeing on my screen with these survivors isn’t fun at all—it’s just stifling. I can’t play M1 killers anymore; your recent changes have completely killed them off. Get rid of the anti-camp system during the endgame—immediately.
Your latest changes have effectively finished off M1 killers. If you’re planning to rework these killers later on, then this change should only be implemented once those reworks are actually in place.
You need to hire someone who actually plays your game and base your changes on their feedback.
I can’t play as The Wraith, Ghost Face, or The Trapper.
I don’t want to be forced to constantly play as Jason, The Blight, The Nurse, or Vecna—it’s tedious and gets boring. And if you want to avoid major game balance issues, stop power-creeping every new killer you release.
I don’t care if you ban me for what I’ve said; everything I’ve written here is the truth about you. As far as I’m concerned, you are the only developers of an online game who don’t actually know their own game.
How did it go from being an asymmetrical horror game to an asymmetrical competitive one? In its current state, the game isn’t even remotely a horror title. There’s no eerie atmosphere, nor any sense of mounting tension—like the sudden, unexpected appearance of a killer. Even newcomers point out in the comments that it’s not a horror game—unless, perhaps, the "horror" lies in the constant fear that a bug might pop up and ruin your match.
Unfortunately, there is no good alternative to your game, because you’ve turned it into something like Fortnite—featuring all sorts of coveted horror franchises—yet in terms of gameplay, your game isn’t actually a horror game.
I don’t care how many people here try to suck up to BHVR, even though they know they won’t get anything out of it. The fact remains: this isn’t a horror game—it’s a dress-up simulator for Feng Min, Sable, and Mikaela.
A lot of players found your Halloween stream cringeworthy, since most of the time was spent talking about skins...

There is no anti-camp in the end game. So if they got off the hook by themselves they either used a perk or did the +4% chance they have to unhook themselves. The game is not competive game it has never been one and I don't think its ever going to be one. Its a horror game but what game scares anyone who playes it few times and you can still do jump scares by playing with perks that surpress your terror radius so you can scare people with it. Like do you still get scared after watching Friday the 13th the tenth time? No because you know what happens.

Like you say you played this game for 10 years but don't seem to even know whats going on in your matches if you think anti-camp is on after gens are done.

What on earth gave you the idea that the anti-camp system should still be active during the endgame?

Did they actually made it still active after gens are completed?, it's not in the patch notes and I haven't played the game yet after the new event was released.

It works if u hook before last gen done, anti-camp system doesn't canceled.

So now you pull some niche situation that might be considered a bug to defend your original statement where you don't specify this at all. I have never heard or seen this to be a thing and I have had situations where I hooked the survivor before the last gen was done and still could totally fine defend the hook without them being able to unhook themselves.

This has happened to me several times over the course of a few matches. None of the survivors who jumped off had the "self-unhook", nor did they have any luck-boosting perks/offerings—and, frankly, anything related to "luck" has been complete trash lately anyway.
It’s happened so many times that I just don’t have the energy left to play as my favorite killers anymore.
Even if this turns out to be a game bug rather than a "shadow change," it doesn’t make the situation any better; it just raises questions for the developers—how on earth could a bug like this appear if nothing was touched? A bug involving collision issues on stairs doesn’t just happen by accident if code or engine wasn’t tampered with at all.
With this change, it’s very easy for survivors to manage the system—they just have to avoid end a last generator until someone gets hooked. Should I start slugging?

You do realize that if there is two survivors left in the match the hooked if they are not on second stage can try to unhook themselves. Its a base mechanic and no need to luck offering or perk. Still as we have your statement only and no real proof how these things happened I have hard time believing there even is this kind an issue. This would be that level that it would be reported way more if people would be doing it as regularly as you claim.

Your example of a collision issue don't need to have anything to do with engine or code it can literally be someone accidentally leaving or spawning in a invisible collision object in the wrong spot while editing something in the map in question. Errors happen nobody does stuff and never make mistakes. Also usually when you make updates that means there is changes that can cause other problems.

How long have you been standing there? The anti-camp system turns off in endgame. The one caveat is that if the resolve bar gets filled fully BEFORE endgame is triggered then the survivor can still jump off the hook. This happens because, get this, you were camping them and the system was correctly triggering.

No, that’s not quite right, because in that scenario, it’s the survivors in the group who take control of the situation, not the killer.
    I described this above.
I can’t even see this anti-camping system, and I have no idea how much it’s filling up while I’m, for example, placing traps near the basement.

Were you or were you not near the survivor hook before endgame began? Because it sounds to me like you were.

It doesn't matter what you were doing at the time, if you were near the hook then their anti-camp meter is going to be filling. You should not be able to see it happening because that would just lead to players 99ing it. If it gets fully filled before endgame begins then the survivor can still jump, this makes sense because it means you have been around the hook long enough for the bar to fill so no one has had a chance to even consider pulling them. This isn't the survivors "taking control" its you making a mistake. If the bar wasn't full before endgame and continued to fill then that specifically is new and would likely be a bug.

It seems like you have a friend you can test the system out with, hop on survivor and have them camp you to get a sense for how it fills. The closer to the hook the killer is the faster it fills.

Here are the full details of the system https://deadbydaylight.wiki.gg/wiki/Resolve#Anti-Camp_System

Well you were not playing Trapper. Also you were facecamping so it's your own fault, once the option to Unhook has been activated, the survivor can choose when to Unhook.

If you were playing Trapper, hopefully you trapped things before hooking, but even then you get 7 seconds grace period where the meter does not go up once you hook them. So you are able to reset traps and leave the anti-camp range without being punished. This also counts for the person already hooked if you hook someone else next to them.

It was a private mode with bots and one human...
Don’t you think this is taking things a bit too far?
I mean, why should I have to factor in whether the anti-camp mechanic will kick in while I’m using my killer’s ability? Why am I being penalized for using my ability and trying to secure a kill if the survivor gets unhooked? Am I at fault for wanting to eliminate a survivor? In my opinion, this is the most egregious handout given to survivors. And for the record, I play as both sides—not just as a killer—but I still think this is completely unnecessary.
I’ve set some traps and won’t stray too far from the basement—I realize I can’t afford to drag the game out, as there’s only one generator left. Besides, I’m playing as the Trapper, and he isn’t capable of moving quickly across the map.
M1 killers are really struggling right now when facing a full party of survivors who know what they’re doing.
And M1 killers have been doing poorly for several years, and now things are even worse.

Everything is already disabled in the end game. If you don't camp then they won't get anti-camp. Simple. 10 years and you still have to camp to win?

Also you were playing Bubba, so you could very easily kill the person when they unhook anyway, especially in the basement.

Bro... I’ll say it again: that was the Trapper. I wasn't Bubba in the matches.
Doesn't it strike you as odd that I haven't mentioned him even once, yet you keep bringing him up?
The video was recorded in a private match just to show the person mentioned above that, yes, survivors can self-unhook—contrary to his claim that it’s impossible under any circumstances.
And sure, I’m supposed to camp while playing M1 killers in endgame. The way you write, it sounds like you think you could easily get a -4 against a coordinated SWF group while playing as the Trapper. It would be easier if the Trapper also had mobility.

You mentioned setting traps, not me. The video you posted clearly shows the killer power, it's Bubba.

You said that the "anti-camp system is active in the end game". But it's not. You camped the person and activated the anti-camp before all gens were done.

I never mentioned winning or SWF.

Are you a troll, or do you just really want to suck up to BHVR? The match in the video is not a public one.
I’m talking about the whole discussion regarding M1 killers, not about Bubba. Stop bringing up Bubba; you’ve been doing it from the very beginning from ur comments.
Regarding the anti-camping system—that’s exactly what I’m talking about. I already addressed this above, explaining why it shouldn’t work that way.
If you are trying to trolling, making yourself look half-witted isn’t trolling.
But if you not trolling, can you wrap your head around the fact that the private-match video featuring Bubba was created specifically to prove that, yes, it is possible to unhook yourself? Someone earlier claimed that it was impossible under any circumstances.

About "I never mentioned winning or SWF."
The thing is, your text as a whole gives the impression that you’ve only thought about this in a very superficial way. For example, your suggestions regarding traps and such (where you mentioned the 7-second)—are you assuming that if I set them, no one else is going to come along and try to disarm them?
Are the survivors just going to sit and do nothing?

You provide a video with Bubba and talk about traps. I'm not the one that looks like a half-wit here.

The good thing for you is - you now know that you should not camp someone when there are still generators available (i.e. it's not the end game yet). If you camp them too long, they will get the Unhook prompt, after which they can choose to unhook themselves at any time.

The "system" is deactivated when the last generator is complete, but they already qualified for the anti-camp unhook. This is likely to prevent camping killers like yourself from being able to camp an entire hook stage for free.

The video was made specifically for someone else; it wasn’t a response to you.
I didn’t have any match recordings, otherwise I would have shared them.
The fact that you didn’t even consider that just goes to show how "gifted" you are.

You know what? I give up. I feel like Squidward trying to talk to Patrick.
I’m explaining that this is bad for M1-based killers, yet you still don’t get it and keep insisting that "it’s supposed to be this way"... I already told you—even if it is intended, that still makes it a bad thing.
One of the reasons the game won’t get any better now is people like you. It was in its prime back in 2019–2020, And while the developers' efforts were evident from 2016 to 2020, but now... it’s just a product that’s been slapped together with zero effort.

You're posting on a public forum, do you expect people not to look at the video you post?

You say "I can’t play M1 killers anymore" and "it’s the survivors in the group who take control of the situation," - but you give no further reasons why this should be changed, other than a video of you in the basement camping someone as Bubba.

The anti-camp system is in place to make it slightly harder for killers. I'm sure they will take it out soon anyway, don't worry!

I'm mostly just surprised that it's the anti-camp feature of all things that broke you. Ever since the last tweak they made to it, I have found it to be very functional at pretty much only countering egregious camping before the end-game and otherwise not intrusive at all. It even appropriately punishes survivors for swarming the hook without committing to an unhook attempt.

Btw if you didn't give the survivor in that clip a full anti-camp bar before the final gen popped, and they legit just carried over their anti-camp into the endgame because they got hooked before the final gen popped, you should probably post that in bug report.
