Show Matchprogress in Friends List

I thought it would be cool to see the match progress of your friends in your friends list. It could look something like this:
That way you know if a friend just started a match, or if their match is about to end, so you know if you should wait for a minute or play one on your own. It would be especially practical for friends that play on a different platform so you can't text them through Steam messages.
Obviously, a feature like that should be deactivatable in the privacy settings.
Cool feature? Unnecessary feature? What do you guys think?
