End of Game Cheer System

I play other team based games and at the end of the matches you can cheer a player based on performance. It would be nice if DBD had this. There are times when you play with someone so good, you want to give them a shout out.

For instance:

*MVP

*Great Team Player

*Great Runner

*Great Medic

*Gen Master

Also, instead of just having the name of the players in a bar, why not have a screenshot of the players character?

This isn’t Overwatch. It doesn’t need to be like Overwatch. All you have to do is pay attention to the lobby and you know who was playing which survivor.

I would love to see a more robust "honoring system" in game. At the very least, it is a way to promote positivity. At the most, it can be worked into a functional system for awarding in game currency and/or items (provided the person honoring you did not queue with you.)

Considering survivors leave the game at different times, I imagine that DBD's version may look a bit different. But again, I am all for the concept, and I'd love to hear a dev's thought on this as well.

Thanks for suggesting the topic @ChicoRockz

Not saying it is Overwatch. But it's just a quality of life thing. Also, what's wrong with borrowing from other games that do things right? At the end of the day isn't the goal to make this game the best it can be?

tbh if the players character was next to their name, I could know who my shirtless david in shining muscles was..

I think it would be a good quality of life improvement. It would also liven up that bland end game screen.

I was also thinking; why not have a points breakdown? Something like:

    *Total Gens Completed

    *Total Totems Cleansed

    *Safe Hook Rescues

    *Players Healed

    *Chase Time

So you can actually see where the points are coming from.

You don’t get the tone the game is going for? It’s a horror game and even escaping is just running away.

What you’re suggesting would kill the tone and atmosphere completely.

How would that take away from the tone of the game? It happens at the END of the trial and literally changes nothing in game. People compliment each other all the time in the chat. So why not put something better than just saying "gg" at the end of the trial? Also, if you didn't know they already have something like this, but players can't see if they get a thumbs up.

How is ending a game where you’re escaping a killer by running away into the mist (or after being sacrificed to a Lovecraftian god-thing) changed in tone by having the survivors continuing to run in desperation and the killer moving on to the next slaughter by having them all stop and pose while players hand out participation trophies?

    For real?

If you seriously need to feel special because people you don’t onowngave you a random trophy that means nothing and gives you nothing in the hopes of getting a random trophy that means nothing and gives them nothing themselves, you need to play something else.

DBD’s entire atmosphere is built aroundkeeping the tone of the game a constant desperate struggle against the Entity. You ended a murder trial and are moving on to the next murder trial. It’s not happy posing trophy time. Not every game needs to have this to be good and you don’t need to know if you a thumb’s up.

So why not remove the results screen entirely? Doesn't it break the flow and immersion if the exit gate doesn't immediately dump you into a new match?

Nobody said they have to pose for the camera, they can all stay looking frightened, and it would basically be the same info we get now, just presented better and making it easier to associate a name with a skin.

Also, if you think it's stupid to "get trophies for surviving" how do you feel about emblems?

Emblems are pointless because they don’t do anything to actually contribute to the game.

You obviously didn't read what I said. No one said to stop and pose. I said there should be a screenshot of the player's character next to their name. No one said anything about stopping for a pose. The game already has a way of giving someone a "thumbs up." So I suggested they expand on it. Because just saying "gg" at the end of games is a little stale. Sometimes I play with survivors who really did something pretty good and it would be nice to show some proper respect.
