Things you thought as a noob that were completely wrong
I thought nurse was the weakest killer and Freddy was the strongest. (Serious)

Same here Freddy was the first killer I bought because I thought he was OP lol I was a complete noob back then

i thought certain survivors run faster or run slower when injured. (but for some odd reason i do better with female survivors than males, idk. i do best with feng min tho) (also, for some reason on xbox, when im running and holding it, i do run slower? i've died one too many times because of this. it's even when im running in a straight line)

I thought maps were generated randomly, and *that* played a big part into me wanting to play it, because I thought there was no way for the no-lifers to learn every single angle of every single map this time.
Oh, well...

I also thought this.

I thought Saboteur was still OP. Yeah . . .
1 -
Yes I also thought Meg was faster because she was the runner chick.
5 -
I would get mad when people used this on me back then.😂

Everyone told me to follow survivors footsteps and like an idiot I was staring down at the ground trying to find them because I was expecting actual footsteps and not scratch marks.
Must have been funny to the survivors that played against me tho, a trapper staring at the ground when looking around for people like it was some cartoon.

Buy a new controller, same thing happened to me, you will notice it on other games too when your left stick gets messed up you'll get acceleration problems
0 -
Well at least you were making sure you didn't step on your own traps
4 -
I thought being injured slowed you down.
5 -
@ShaneQ thanks, my poor xbox controller, it's all the assassin's creed tbh.

I also remember playing Trapper at R20, just trapping both exit switches to oblivion, thinking it was the best strategy.
And it worked.
5 -
I did this too!!!😂😂😂
1 -
I used to think the game was balanced :33333333333333

I thought Billy was OP, he is only situationally good, I played only Michael until prestige, then I stopped playing him until I got teachables which sucked, when Legion came out, I farmed him and I thought he was bad but realize he's a mix of Spirit and Nurse who actually can hit survivors without second guessing.

I thought the best use of BP's was that if you dont want the perk in the bloodweb just buy cheap stuff. Got my Feng to level 50 with like 7 perks.
5 -
I thought my team would do generators
6 -
I thought that I have to try to kobe, that my luck sucks because I was always getting into struggle phase and it didn't cross my mind that people can unhook others.
2 -
I thought skill check success was random because I always blew up gens. I had no idea skill checks had a success zone. I thought as long as I pressed my button with the skill check on the screen I was good.

When DS came out in 2016 I thought survivors holding keys were knives for DS.
5 -
I didn't think that killer gets allerted and I was yelling fml and my luck

I thought wraith was OP and that crouching would make exhustion go down quicker. The wraith op thing was actually before any of his buffs lmao.

I thought something really dumb, and my brother told it me, he said smacking someone on the hook makes them die faster, so I used to do just that.
2 -
I thought pallets were just there to throw down for no reason, until I faced my first 4 man swf *shudders to memory*
2 -
I also had no idea why people would spam numbers and letters in the chat.
0 -
I also thought skillchecks came without a sound, and when my brother pointed out there's a sound before it comes, my mind was literally blown.
2 -
I thought both of these were true.
0 -
Oh god, I have multiple.
- I randomly threw pallets down for no reason whatsoever
- I used to think the Hag was OP but now I just find her annoying to play against
- Deja VU was my #1 perk then I discovered BT & Lithe (love em!!)
- I didn’t know you could share perks until I played the game more so I always assumed that most of the survivors have their basic perks (dumb, I know)
- I used to always blow up the generators cuz the skillcheck used to be too fast for me LOL!
I think that’s about it!!
Edit: added an extra mistake 🤡

I gotta play Freddie more.
I HONESTLY think he is a strong Killer. The pig scares me the most, with the jump scare #########. I still scream out loud like a little girl.
Freddie though...I have decent headphones and still have trouble locating where a killer is coming from..Freddie I can't even see. Just staring at grass all day. Freddie gets me just about every time.

With no penalty window juking? No you didn't...

I thought skillchecks were hard, and that Huntress was going to be easy to learn 😂
2 -
Yeah lol! I still remember my face when I found out skillchecks have sound notifications.

I thought Meg was cute

I thought when I was using Insidious that I was actually invisible. In my defense, that seemed the only plausible explanation for the way survivors behaved when I used it.
5 -
OMG YES!!!!! I completely forgot about this one.
I would stand with Billy in a corner, watching a hooked survivor, thinking I was invisible...OMG, such a noob. Survivors would come in all slowly, crouched, doing that inch by inch thing.
Thank you, seriously, laughed out loud, called me Son in to read this one. We just looked at each other really quick and didn't say a word, then bust out laughing.

OMG I forgot about this. I thought this too... Embarrassingly I used to play insidious Myers and think if I stood right in front of the hook no one saw me. I thought it was genius plays.
0 -
I used to think Insidious literally made you invisible. So when I’d do Insidious builds I’d stand near the hook waiting like an idiot for survivors to come for the rescue, thinking the whole time that I was a genius because they couldn’t see me.
Then one day I played against a basement Bubba with two friends and asked them why he had no terror radius and they said Insidius and I said it couldn’t be that, because I could see him. I felt embarrassed for those earlier matches.
2 -
I thought survivors needed buffs because I was terrible.
2 -
I thought this game was unbalanced because killers were too strong.
2 -
I thought Killers were the power role and that this game was scary :(
3 -
I used to think you could just let the skill-check pass by and hit it at any time.

Back when I was new I thought crouching in grass completely made you invisible to the killer.
1 -
That decent people exist?
3 -
I forgot about this! I thought that too as well, the worse thing is that I used it on Freddy too thinking it would shut up my lullaby too XD

You're not wrong. Try it with Claudette or P3 Tapp
