How the End Game Collapse should work.
So after watching the video more than ten times, there was some things that I caught on that didn't seemed right.
So before I go in to say what should be change, let me say this, the End Game Collapse is MEANT to PUNISH survivors who stay around too long that try to prolong the game, and that's that.
The one thing I heard from the video is how it says that the timer will be affected by the survivors that are dying or hooked, and for that, the timer will slow down, which should not be the case
- You have a whole 3 minutes to get yourself out and escape and that should be enough time, if you are in dying state or hooked AFTER the gates are open, that is on your end and your fault, if anything, the timer should not be affected or the timer gets cut by a percent of its time, and remember, the timer only starts AFTER one of the gates are opened, so if you running around n about doing nothing and not staying near someone who is opening a gate and you get caught and hooked, the timer should not be "Okay okay, let me slow down the timer for you so your friends can have some time to help you" No, if you get caught after one of the gates are open, that is on your end and you deserved it.
- The timer should be two minutes instead of three, and if your gonna complain about that (Especially you entitled survivor mains) This is not a problem, why? Because the timer does not start until AFTER the gates are open, now I would understand if it was after all the generators are powered, but that is not the case. So two minutes after a gate is open is still plenty of time to get out, but if that does not sound like a lot to you, then that shows what type of player you are around end games, and if you get caught, your fault, it is simple as opening the gate and leaving, not “Oh let me open the gate and lets start ******* around!” you open, you leave, and if someone else gets caught, well too bad for them, they should have not been free roaming on the verge of escaping. And if someone is on the hook and all of the gens are powered, try your best to save them before opening a gate, not that hard, unless they are camping, then just leave….just leave after that.
- And now here is a simple change, the timer starts after all gens are powered, and so for that, the timer should be 3 minutes and 20 seconds, at max for change 3 minutes and 30 seconds
Now this is just something else as a thought, and i'm pretty sure all of us have seen it or done it.
Is a survivors opening the gate and staying and waiting there for the killer to come so that they can t-bag them or do the flashlight clicking and then leaving.
So here is just a thought, if all survivors are at either gate (inside or around near the gate), waiting for the killer to come, after ten seconds of them staying inside the gate or around near the gate, the timer immediately shortens to 10 seconds
Please remember, the End Game Collapse is meant to PUNISH SURVIVORS who try to prolong the game and help fixing the end game to not last longer than it should, the End Game Collapse is not supposed to give any sort of upside to the survivors.
Oh and also remember, this is happening (The update) because of you certain survivors mains and entitle ones who think it’s funny to stay and hold the game hostage after the gates are opened just so you can **** around the game or **** around with the killer.

Yeah I kinda agree that the timer should be lowered to 2 min after the gate is open because its supposed to be intense. I don't think there has ever been a time where I needed to stay past 3 min after an exit gate was open besides saving a team member. Its supposed to be intense and require survivors to make hard decisions. "Do I risk my life and save my teammate or do I not take the risk and leave?"

But I say we need to actually test it out before anything gets changed

Yes I do believe it does need a test (Which will come) Im just going by first impression and seeing what could be change, but yes.

I still think we would need to see how often the timer gets close to running out before saying what the timer should be.
For example if the timer is often reaching the final quarter then 3 minutes is a good time. But if it's rarely even reaching 45 seconds then clearly it is too much time. I don't know what the average is so it is hard to say if less time would be good or not.
It might even be not enough time.

I do however think it would be more interesting if the timer started at the last generator completed. However we shall see. Overall the change is definitely an improvement

I think you also have to consider that End Game is triggered when a killer closes the hatch. So if you're the last Survivor and the hatch is closed and you have to open an exit gate by yourself, is dropping the timer to 2 minutes really the fairest idea?

Ah yes, I almost forgot about that, well for that, I think the timer should be a little higher, again either 3 min and 20 sec or max 3 min and 30 sec, you know, since if that does happen, the killer will be trying to guard both gates, but for normal situation (All gens done and a gate is open) 2 mins, cause again, it's not that hard to open a gate and leave and remember, timer does not start until a gate is open

My understanding is that if the killer closes the hatch, it automatically powers the generators and opens the exit doors, so the survivors do have the chance to leave.

@Caz2018 just powers. We have no reason to believe they become open

I thought I'd seen it in a youtube video but after rewatching the official DBD one, it does look like the exits just become available. In that case, I think dropping to 2 minutes is a bit much - 3 minutes to find and unlock the gate while trying to dodge the killer is fairer.

It be funny if you teabagged and the entity noticed double quick crouch and took time off own timer.

No it wouldnt. The hatch spawns without any gen completed so you ge rewarded for doing absolutely nothing already. Now you have the chance to find the hatch first but in case you fail again once the killer closes the hatch it dosent kill you no it gives you a third chance because you only failed twice already.
How many additional chance do you need really? Do nothing at all get rewarded.....
What they should do is dont let the hatch spawn if 0 or only 1 gen are done like it is now. And allow the killer to open the exit gates at any time so if the game gets taken hostage he can still trigger the collapse phase.
Dont forget how bad it also is for the bad piping system. You already dont pip if you kill people too fast (0 gens done 4 kills on their first hook is 11 to 12 points of the 13 needed in red ranks to pip) now your points can escape even with 0 gens done. Smart decision.
There is 0 reason to reward failure.
