Remove SWF for a week.
I would like to see this happen just to see what effect it has on the game and wait times.

People will just queue at the same time and dodge if they are not in their lobby with a friend. You know, exactly what they did before the SWF's.

Brilliant idea, totally won't make casual SWF players annoyed they can't fool around with friends and just make the actual hardcore teams queue-snipe eachother like early in DBD or anything /s
The only outcome this would have would be a drastic increase in survivors leaving lobbies, driving up queue times for everyone that plays the game.

If this would happen I'd probably leave.. I bought the game because it's fun yes but also because I can play it with my friend/s if I want to.
Removing SWF would surely make a lot of people leave.

I am a survivor main that plays a lot of SWF. This was more aimed at all the people that have been demanding something is done about it and what it would do to the state of the game.
As proved by this reaction it would not be good.

Yes remove one of the most popular elements that brings players in. That's always a good idea for a game.

@Dwight_Fairfield This was kind of my point. There has been a lot of complaining about it lately and I would like to see how that would have changed if it was removed for a week. I use it a lot so I don't want it gone.

Lately? There's always complaining about it. Primarily from killer mains. But that doesn't change the fact its one of the most popular elements of the game. Players love to be able to play with their friends.
It would be stupid of Bhvr to remove it for any period of time.

This is a terrible idea. I play SWF occasionally for fun, WITHOUT comms. I can't believe you'd remove it even for a week. The playerbase for survivors would drop to 50 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

It would basically take about 80% of the fun, if swf would be removed.
They should rather take care of the disconnecters.

The game is balanced for swf, i agree to remove it but buff solo player at this point

You would see something much like the beta where people would queue at the same time as their friends, check if they're in the lobby together, and then leave if they're not. It would greatly increase queue times for everyone. Survive With Friends was not around in the beta and it didn't stop anyone then, anyone who's really determined to play with their friends will still do so. The only difference is that you would annoy and chase away all the casual players who just want to play a game and chat with their friends.

SWF isn't really that bad. Sure a optimized group of t-bagging flashlight clicking survivors is annoying as hell, but really it's a matter of how you handle it.
It's also really satisfying murdering them all in the basement once altruism gets them.

SWF will never go away - people want to play with friends. They just have to deal with that, as do we killers.
Best approach is to just do what they've been attempting to do - give solo survivors the same level of info as SWF gets and buff the killer's to compensate.
That's really the only real way forward.

KYF lobbies become super popular most SWF just want to have fun there is a few that want to be "toxic" ect ect but very few.

and NOW we finally get the real reason for SWF. it wasn't "always intended" it was a fix to a legit problem. Even if it's caused many more.

McLean said on the dev stream it was always intended. They had the choice to release the game with KYF or SWF, they chose KYF and chose to implement SWF later.

In layman’s terms, “we can do that to our survivors” scared of survivor backlash is the issue with the devs lately. But anything killer related, they will be on top of that. Ahh I love it. So if you can’t do that...why can’t u add a SWF Indicator in the lobby for killers to see? So killers can better prep. I mean SWF are prepped from the lobby to the end of the trial. It’s only a step to help killers aid in SWF matches which is almost every match. Killer leaving isn’t an excuse cuz it’s been here since the beta, since we are following that logic.
oh wait, nah you wouldn’t take that to the team and actually show a care for this matter. So much wasted potential.

They're not afraid of survivor backlash lol. They have no interest in removing it. Never have. Killers have been playing the game just fine since it was added and they will continue to do so. Most don't mind it. They're just not gonna come to the forum to say "I'm okay with SWF" yet people who can't handle it have all the reason in the world to come cry about it.

I do not play SWF but honestly, if SWF was removed for a week, I would not play that week. The queue times would explode, survivors would lodge dodge like crazy to play with their friends or just go play KYF. Sorry but that is a horrible idea.

Not scared of survivor backlash? What happened to the boy Freddy? Everyone complained about him that was a survivor. Freddy has been ruined since his release till this day.
DS got its rightful rework, but 3 seconds wasn’t enough. What the devs do? Buff it to 5. Imagine they ignored that. Took its first release day of the Halloween chapter till March of 2019 to adjust that perk. Then when the perk was still not enough for survivors, they still cried and got it adjusted about 3 days later.
legion is useless now due to survivor outcry. It’s simple, they are scared. I’m not here for you to agree, I didn’t quote u first. I quoted the lovely dev so he can see from a non entitled survivor perspective. But they don’t listen anyway.
PS: I didn’t say to remove it. They promised to aid killers when facing SWF. Where are those promises? Oh wait yeaaa...

This was the point I was trying to get across. I like SWF and use it a lot. It would have been stupid not to include it and the idea of no voice comes would have the same effect.

I would like to see any and all VoIP users permabanned for using 3rd party software as it violates the very clearly written rule that forbids such things. Looks like neither of us are getting what we want.
