A way to prevent camping.

If the bar of the entity when you are hooked doesn't progress while killer is within a range of "x" metres near of the survivor, would be a great way to prevent camping.

Oh, thanks for your irony, and for the vote down. How rude. Don't tell me what I should think. I played the very first PTB and didn't see that feature. Can you please explain how survivors can abuse of that?

Ok, I'm playing since mid 2017, I didn't know about that, thanks for the explanation and better answer. And excuse me for wanting to improve the game and try to prevent all those people who leave the game because toxicity. See you in the fog.

I know, that's why I don't play as killer. I hate discord premades bodyblocking you, flashlight abuse, infinite looping, t-bag, etc. I don't like to do that because I know how annoying is, and I play alone because all my friends stop playing because toxicity in general. I spent a lot of money buying the game to friends that quit right after, that's why I want solutions.

Someone is bodyblocking you? ITS SLUG TIME!!!

But really... slugging is often very effective against swf.

Flashlight abuse... If 2 or more people are bringing flashlights its often a good idea to take lightborn or always face a wall while picking someone up... infectious fright works as well and you can always slug someone when expecting flashlight save.

Infinite looping? Bamboozle, mindgames, spirit fury with enduring, special abbilities, bloodlust, changing target (often this guy with object of obsession is the best one).

Teabagging? Myers... you will start laughing at people who teabag you (i really had a game when after unhook they both started teabagging me from a safe distance... free evil within charge).

Also, teabbaging in games is a valid strategy, angry person will start making more mistakes.

I can tell, and all of these vote downs... I'm going to avoid this forum again, so unpleasing.

@onark no don't do that, some replies are a bit too bitter, but make a quick search and you'll literally find dozens of discussions with exactly the same suggestion. Can't blame people to give somewhat rude answers when it's fair to think that you did not bother to look around before posting something posted countless times before. No biggy, but the forum can easiyl get clogged up by repeated topics simply because people want their voice heard more than listen to others.

@onark You should ask around, or just verify that I have about as many Vote Ups as I do comments, of which I'm nearing 10k. Were I a troll, I'd have been jailed or banned long ago.

Most down votes for me so far are "I don't agree with this person. DOWNVOTE REEE"

In any case though it's a fairly complicated issue.

You can't make camping impossible because that would mean making unhooking guaranteed to be safe. Not something you want.

At the same time you can't make camping viable in general because that's no fun either.

I honestly think camping isn't something we need to solve in anyway we haven't already.

"Oh sure you can camp. And yes it will probably get the camped player killed... but good luck doing better than a 1k vs gen rush ;)"

Now gen rush and tunneling are much bigger and more difficult answers.

You can't reward punish Killers for going after the same guy too much because that's rewarding the chased player for being caught.

You can't just reward the Killer for diversifying more than killing because that takes the weight out of Kills.

as for gen rush good luck stopping it without also nerfing non-genrush strats and making M1 simulator worse.

    hey look!

its the 5399287th post with the exact same idea!

its almost as if this has already been answered millions of times already... seriously guys, take a look at the other anti camp discussions. 95% of them suggest the same thing and the answer is always the same.

maybe, just maybe, you should reward a killer for not camping instead of punishing them for doing it?

I thought the devs said camping took away points towards your emblems but the prerequisite is like 8 meters you can still camp from further than that. If you reward them for not camping what would it be? Extra bloodpoints?

Just give Killers progressively less BP reward for sacrificing the longer they stay within terror radius of the hook.

BP punishment stops while chasing other Survivors through the hook area.

    Problem solved.
