My gripe w/ the clown

To be honest, i think it's a bit ridiculous that the clown moves at 4.6m/s. The clown's power, as is (without addons), slows survivors that get hit with the gas by 15% for 2 seconds. Normally, survivors move at 4m/s. Under the effects of the gas, they move at 3.4m/s. In 2 seconds, (assuming he's moving the entire time) the clown can move 9.2 meters. A survivor as is can move 8 meters in 2 seconds. This is a 1.2 meter difference for just 2 seconds, meaning the clown can catch up to the survivor by 1.2 m/s. Under the effects of the gas, the survivor can move 6.8 m/s (assuming they dont run into anything, because it's hard to see). This is a difference of 2.4. That means the clown catches up to you at twice the speed. And on top of that, the clown doesnt even appear to be slowed while throwing a potion. Maybe for charging up a potion he does get slowed, yes, but i havent seen a single clown actually charge a throw like you would on a huntress, maybe. They just click for a second and throw it, and they dont even have to hit you with it, it's a relatively big area of effect, so he only has to land in your general area. I think that the clown should have his movement speed lowered, or at least get slowed while throwing a bottle. The huntress cant just click for a second and throw a fast hatchet, can she? She has to charge it, and it slows her while doing so. I see no reason why the huntress has to charge up a hatchet to throw it quickly, but the clown can just tap the key (to my knowledge) and throw it full speed, and only has to hit kinda close to you. (I'm on the side of the huntress there, she's fine. I think the clown isnt.

The Huntress is stronger than the Clown. He's better in a chase, sure, but he can't damage survivors as quickly or put as much pressure on them. He's king of mid tier, nothing more. The Clown only has a few bottles, so you can try to dodge one or two or throw that pallet down early and run while he reloads. Or just break line of sight in a walled area and loop so he can't see you. He'll start throwing bottles at halfway points in the loop and you can run or hide while he does this.

@chickenman12365 I think you either need to learn how to loop better or know when to abandon the loop. This should help you with that ;)

I can loop fine, i just never get the option to loop because the second he sees me, he hits me with a potion then i'm already hit.

Good, you aren't supposed to loop in the first place. Git gud.

Clown is a mid tier killer, top 5 definitely. Huntress does a better job with one hitting axe, Clown has to hit the bottle at you directly before he can one hits you. the AOE also last too short and and the area is bugged, survivors can stay on the edge of the mists or it seems they are in the AOE but are not affected by it

The list also doesn't refresh clown's intoxication by ticking, and will only refresh once it expires which is kinda dumb in my opinion since they were in the mist constantly

If the Clown has a slower movespeed he will get pallet loop to death

You just need practice how to play against him. IN my opinion he is considerably weaker than huntress and is between all the other killers in trashtier if he doesnt have the ultra rare instadown addon. But since its ultra rare, you cannot rely on it.

Killers are supposed to be strong man get used to it but play more stealthy if you can't loop him

I like the clown because it is similar to the nurse(no not the power is like the nurse) because if the player is good there isn't too much survivors can do(if they have some decent add ons)

Stealth is a counter to every killer, yes, but not every opportunity allows for stealth to be a viable option. Huntress and nurse both provide some counterplay. The clown, if you take the time to walk around his cloud thing, that's almost just as bad as going through it and being slowed, so he'll be catching up to you quite fast.
I get that the killers are supposed to be stronger, but i've yet to see effective counterplay for the clown.

Okay, I'm just going to be direct with you. If you wanna be good against the clown, you'll need to know when to forget about the loop. 9/10 times he'll throw his bottles around the pallet loop area and then fake you out on one direction to gain distance on you and hit you because you're not fast enough due to his bottles' slowness effect. When the clown prepares the loop by throwing his bottles around the pallet loop area, just run to the next loop because he would then just wasted his bottles preparing a loop that you won't use. I know this because I main Pig, it's the exact same thing when I play her. I will crouch and will fake out what direction I would go to gain distance then ambush the other direction to loop around and hit the survivor. Again, the only way to counter this is by moving to the next loop when I begin to crouch so I can't do my ambush tactics. Hopefully this will help you and sorry about my previous post because it seemed to cause people to tell you to "get gud" when they aren't telling you how exactly which I think is just rude. ;)
