End game balance
I feel like endgame is a really good addition to dbd but most of the time killers camp gates or down you and camp your body. They’re should be a time limit if the killer isn’t hooking you, standing around your proximity and if the timer goes down enough that the exit gates and hatch open and you get a adrenaline boost.
This is just an idea but something needs to be balanced with killers in the endgame.

End game is trash

@ExpectTheW0rst I agree, its a good concept but totally unfair if you are a last man and the killer finds the hatch first which is 9/10 guaranteed. At this point unless you are extremely unlucky then killer has 99.99% chance of killing you as you are forced to go to an exit, revealing yourself and all the killer has to do is camp exits

I think to properly ballance the EGC, all that really needs to be done is increase the distance between exit gates. This forces the killer to give you time to open one of them. It at least gives you a fighting chance.
3 -
maybe don’t get downed and you will escape?
7 -
Maybe you shouldnt get a free escape?
+ Distance of exit gates should be higher
6 -
Maybe instead of you getting healed and a free sprint out of a gate, how about getting instantly sacrificed?
How about getting insta-sacrificed if all survivors are jooked or downed?
How about hatch closing instantly sacrifices the last survivor instead of giving him (another) chance at escaping?
All I got from Op is that three chances arent enough dor him and he needs a FOURTH.
3 -
Oh really, are you sure about that 99.99%? Why don't you camp the exit gate beforehand.

Typical survivor main from 20 rank - stop cry and go play minecraft. (And yes - im survivor main but crying kids like him are annoying)
1 -
Current EGC sucks and should be better balanced.
1 -
You do know that EGC mean End Game Challenge right? That is the new end game that BHVR made. It challenges killers to play with their food at the end of the match.
3 -
I think if you are the only one left and the killer slugs you, you should have the option rushing down the timer. Being slugged for two minutes while the killer prances around, pig crouches over your body or being thrown bottles from the clown is ridiculous. Then if you rush the timer the killer should get no sacrifice points. Hook me so I can go onto the next game. Damn.

You're a puny little Survivor going up against an Entity-empowered killing machine (at least that's how it's supposed to be). Feeling helpless in the eyes of inevitable doom is exactly how you're supposed to feel in that situation.
2 -
Well, actually you should feel a hope that you can still escape (the most nutritious meal for the entity)
0 -
You had time for that all throughout the trial. Consider EGC the Entity's way of getting an amuse-bouche before it's diner time.
Joking aside, the Entity feeds off of all strong emotions, hope isn't more nutritious than other emotions, it's simply easy to induce with how the trials are set up.
2 -
@DocOctober Are you sure that hope isn't the most nutritious? Survivors have even a perk called Hope after all... well, maybe affection is even better and hope sometimes is boring for her due to the fact, entity always have this as a main dish.
0 -
So you literally cannot wait two minutes until the entitiy kills you? You need to also have some sort of free win mechanic in the new "end-game" as well?
0 -
From what the devs revealed throughout their streams, all strong emotions are the same in terms of sustenance for the Entity.

"They’re should be a time limit if the killer isn’t hooking you"
There already is a 3 minute timer that's slowed down to 4 while you're down. This is also assuming you are downed RIGHT when it starts, so realistically you have a lot less time to wait than even that.
2 -
@DocOctober But look at this that way: People are often more like things as they eat them more frequently... that, or they are getting extremally bored with this... so if you look at entity never being fussy for the hope, she must definitely prefer this over other things... just like various trolls prefer different ways of trolling.

I'll disregard the trolling insinuation, and I wouldn't go as far as comparing the Entity to regular people and their eating habits. That's not just stretching it to the extreme, but way beyond actually.
0 -
@DocOctober Considering that you can easily compare eating habits of the humans and the octopuses, i don't see the reason why you couldn't do the same with humans and an immortal entity with and unknown limitation of power that can create its own reality and enslave even ghosts of the dead.

The Entity is not just a simple creature, it is much more than that.
Though unless the devs add any Lore in this regard, arguing any further is pointless.

With the balance, I will say the NOED should only activate if all the gens are completed, like Adrenaline or Rancor, or if the exit gate is opened like Blood Warden, not if the exit gates are powered. If the Gates are Powered by the hatch closing and you're the last survivor, there's little to no chance of you escaping. I play both as survivor and killer, it feels super scummy if I use Noed and the last person is stuck with NOED in place. There are times where I am in their spot as survivor and I almost get the gate open. However, I've gotten the gate open but smacked at the switch by the killer with NOED and hooked. It's not like it's taking a lot of power away from killers. Just making the Endgame Collapse more balanced for the players.
2 -
Why should you have 0 chance of escaping? What did a lone survivor do to deserve a no-escape?
2 -
Maybe you are the type who die first all the time so I can see why Endgame doesn't really affect you
3 -
Once the EGC is activated by closing the hatch, if all three lights of the gates become lit (even if the survivor still needs to take the full time to open the gates) the killer would still have to come near to the gates to check for the last survivor. As it is now, the killer only needs line-of-sight on the gate lights to see that a gate has not started to be opened. It would buy a few more seconds for the survivor to open the gate if the killer is checking the opposite gate.

Baby killers like EGC. Easy 4k. :-)
1 -
Yea, baby killers that menaged to kill 3 survivors and get to the hatch first... are you sure you know what are you talking about?
3 -
Yes. How much easier is not it?
