Why do people use Ruin with Billy?

@TreemanXD if you get gen rushed, i mean i never see it as billy, but gen rush means eh...

It means I failed at my objective.

Teach me, Mastah! :D

@Frozenscum stand in a corner and imagine that you’re chainsawing them. Still playing at R1 ;)

@TreemanXD Awww, adorable hillbilleh, though i dont play that joke of killer :D
1 -
A Killer can choose whatever Perks they have at their disposal.
A Hillbilly won't be denied to run Hex: Ruin just because he's the Hillbilly.
3 -
u dont play both sides otherwise u wouldnt post it I dont even care about ruin when I play survivor just hit great and greats ez it doesnt even effect me try dbd skillcheck simulator on google
2 -
Only a God-Hillbilly (who can break loops by chainsaw flicking effectively) can play and win without ruin. You wouldn't like playing against that kind of Billy either as he usually snowballs like mad.
1 -
Ahhhhhh .. yeah I remember rank 15 oh those were the days...

This thread in a nutshell.

I wonder why people use ruin at all, definitely better options for perks than ruin.

@mushwin billy's run ruin because they are subject to the same issues that plague most killers. a lack of time. even if you are a godlike billy you can still be genrushed.
1 -
billy is not op at all
he does not need ruin though, and seeing people run it on him (and nurse) communicates to me that they are unconfident players
5 -
it's not lack of confidence it's just an understanding of game mechanics. without ruin gens get done in 88 seconds (not counting toolboxes or multiple people on gens) considering most chases last say a minute by the time you hook your first survivor 3 gens could be near completion thus requiring ruin to prevent such things.
3 -
Tbh even the survivors at green ranks are learning to heal less and gen rush more, making ruin needed.

There are two types of builds. One covers weaknesses, another pushes strengths. For example, say you have a character in a game who's strong, but slow. You might increase its strength, so that when you hit it's game over for everyone else, or you might increase its speed, so that it's easier to hit. Both have merit, and it depends on the player.
2 -
@SovererignKing that made me lol

As Monto puts it... "It slows the game down, just a little bit"
5 -
it's lack of confidence
billy easily puts out enough pressure to not need ruin
if you aren't, then you aren't a good billy player, full stop
look up how good billy players play without ruin at high ranks instead of touting ruin's necessity on such a strong killer like it's some sort of truism
2 -
You can take that answer and apply to the coordinated SWF groups that use DS, MoM and instant heals. Why use these?
Why? Because you can and you most likely want to increase your chances of "winning".
5 -
He puts pressure but he still needs to chase. this takes time. no matter how good you are you still need to chase (aside from nurse).

A top tier Hillybilly can run ruin because if your unable to fight against ruin/look for it then its a guaranteed 4k with 5 gens left most of the time. Basically on a great Billy it not only prevents genrush, but also guarentees usually a kill or 2 if they can land a chainsaw. So why wouldn't you run a perk that can give you that kind of advantage?
Note sometimes bad Billy's actually need it.

really? a billy worries about gen rush? sorry i had to lol, he is a one hit down! a 1 second stun, he does not need to run ruin at all...it's a more adding to the case of OP killer safe guarding his 4k hits but where is the fun?
3 -
Either your trolling or foolish enough to not understand people want the guarenteed 4k. Why does a killer have to worry about a survs fun? A killer has not right or need to care about a survs feelings outside of farm games. At the end of the day a killer who has 3k or 4k wins the game tie at 2k and anything less us a loss. Some people want full dominance at a 4k
0 -
@Liruliniel sorry but some are dedicated for the 4k and some aren't a gen rush wih billy? please....they ruin because and well seems a lil too frightened but i dont get why.....run what ever you want but so manybillys do it, every billy i counter is ruin LOL why? you are a one hit down special, road running over the map special it doesn't slow gen rush down billy does

I think you should change the discussion to "how many people are bored of Billy at rank 1?".
1 -
because they are a high OP killer at tat rank why would they want to play another killer@CashelP14 thre is NO gen rush with billy and i hve beenplaying for near on a year sorry but eh
1 -
just learn how to loop and hit great skill check and stop crying baby op, all those low hours players convinced that they know how the game should be played at red rank, smh
2 -
apparently you havent met me yet...

I just understand how people don't get bored constantly playing him. I literally play a different killer every day. I may not play every killer but I still play at least 10 different killers a week.
2 -
@CashelP14 - I'd probably be much better killer if I picked a main killer and focussed on only playing them but like you, I'd rather have more fun and variety playing different killers with a variety or perks. Hillybilly + Ruin is boring.

@JawsIsTheNextKiller weirdly I wasnt noticed about the tag, might not be working properly. Yea I swap between Trapper, Hillbilly, Doctor, Myers, Huntress, Pig, Clown, Spirit and Plague. All depends on how I'm feeling or what dailys I have.

Everyone just use perk what he likes. Noed on billy? Why not? Ruin? Why not?
0 -
Dignity ?
0 -
Why do people use mettle of man, or borrowed time, or carry insta-heals when they are experienced survivors? Oh that's right, because it works to their advantage. Just like ruin.
0 -
If survivors keep using Mom, dead Hard, DS and adrenaline rush. Then killers should use as many perks that piss survivors off tbh. it's getting out of hand
0 -
Dignity is subjective.
And one's understanding of dignity does not apply to others.
