Additional changes to the upcoming calm spirit buff.
So calm spirit is one of the perks that is getting a buff. The buff stops audible screams from madness, intoxication and injury however according to the devs on the stream even tho it stops an audible scream from madness it does not stop the visual notification the doctor gets. I would like to see calm spirit also not produce a visual notification when your madness tiers up. This would be a good addition to the perk as it would counter the most annoying aspect of the doctor that people despise and make it a viable counter perk for those that wish to run it.

Imo it's fine the way they intend to buff it. The perk will be viable enough to be used, but not a complete counter. I had another idea that made it a high risk but a high reward perk. It would hide any notifications, so screams to madness, getting trapped, getting hooked. The killer wouldn't know if any of that happened to you, but neither would the survivors, this way it is a counter to Doctor and Trapper, but it also makes other survivors not see you. This would also possibly make other perks synergize with it, like Empathy or Kindred to show you on the hook/trap.

I thought that the Calm Spirit buff did prevent the visual notification that comes with the madness tier up.
I thought that Horvath explained in last week's stream that the Doctor will still see the white fuzzy aura around the survivor's name-portrait in the lower left and that's it.

You could be correct. I might have misunderstood what he said. I thought he said that it completely stops the sound of the scream but the killer will still get the visual notification ie the red aura from the scream.

That would be good. It's not completely countering Doc's power, but still making it easier to hide from Doc (even though it was already kinda easy). Without the scream, a Doc player might think that someone failed a skillcheck, fast vaulted, dropped a pallet, or quickly exited a locker/stopped a chest search. By the time the Doc sees that someone reached a Madness tier, then that Survivor could have repositioned themselves, unless you happen to be in his field of view, which is just bad luck. Same deal with being the first Survivor found. Killer just happened to run in your direction.

A single perk to counter the main part of a killer kit?
Or better several ones?
Calm Spirit was already a 100% counter to SFTS, but they nerfed SFTS so hard, that no one uses it anymore and for that reason a 100% hard counter is unnecessary.
But instead they want to buff it so big that it can counter several killer base kits?###?
Can killer get hard counter perks also please?
I want Sloppy Butcher to shut down Self Care completely.1 -

I thought the same. Otherwise as a buff it wouldn't serve much since visual notifications can be more informative than sounds.

A single perk to counter the main part of a killer kit?Urban Evasion bypasses Hag's kit;
Small Game helps against Trapper's kit;
Self Care craps on Freddy's kit;
Premonition dodges the Pig's and the Wraith's kit...That, and survivors don't know which killer they'll be up against. They can't equip every counter perk.

And then there’s the trifecta...

For now. The devs are considering making failed SC skillchecks not wake you up.
Gosh i hope they do that. It would be a great buff for sweater boi. They also need to make the dream transition interrupt survivor actions. Pure bullshit watching a survivor cleanse your hex totem in front of you and you cant do anything about it.

What if exits are powered, not opened, and you’re the only one left? How the hell would you wake up?

You wouldn’t. You would have to find the Hatch before Freddy finds you.
Guess I’m in his world now, #########

You dont wake up. You either hope someone gets hooked, save them and have them wake you up or you deal with it.
