Let's talk about keys

Keys are overpowered and the perfect tool for being toxic.

Here are proposals to make keys balanced.

QoL changes for keys opening hatchs:

* Make the killer able to grab survivors again (slow down their animation too?)

* Make opening the hatch only grant 1 survivor the escape, not all of them

* Make closing the hatch, not activate the gates, if IT'S NOT ONLY 1 survivor left.

* Make opening the hatch take time

These are my proposals to make killer fun again (which it never really was)

Take franklins keys aren't a big deal and finding the hatch can be quite hard whilst closed there will always be bull crap items, add-ons and offerings that would be considered "toxic" for both sides. If keys are making killer unfun for you I don't know how, the last time someone opened the hatch on me was an entire month ago.

    I have fun playing killer...

But I understand that keys are an issue...

For me it's one of these "shouldn't exist" things. Don't get me wrong there are also a lot of killer addons that are so game changing, that I beleave game would be better without it. For example the 1 hit ace...

It's like having a joker card that gives u an autowin. Just had a game like this yesterday. Everything was fine. They had 1 Gen left and all 3 Gens were together. This was the tactic a run, after the 4 man swf team decided to genrush me with myers...

So 1 gen to do for them and I got the control other the game. After first one was dead they just used a key they found..

3 escaped... This is kinda a joke, because this 1 item just forgives them this huge mistake.

Like I mentioned before there are also killer addons like this. I've got the same opinion about them...

My proposal is that keys can no longer open hatch and that moris get reworked. Both are really op for what they are and can change the tide of the game in a matter of seconds.

Pretty much this. Like me and others mentioned. There are addons or in your case offerings that are simply tooooo gamechanging...

    Keys are just really abusive.

As killer if I see a key I feel the need to tunnel the living ######### out of the person holding it. It isn't personal, it's just that if I leave them alive it decreases how much of the objective they need to do each time I get a kill. Objectives go fast enough. Nothing is worse than getting your first kill of a match and having the hatch be opened straight after.

You CAN close the hatch once it's been keyed, but with multiple people left in the game it's a fairly trivial thing to split the killer's attention and have at least one, if not all of them, leave easily.

It completely breaks the dynamic and momentum of the game.

It is very similar to moris, though I don't see how you can nerf moris without making them JUST a cinematic kill instead of a last hook.

Imagine end game and closing the hatch not being good enough now for killers. Take away the small chance they may even find the hatch before getting killed or getting that far in to the game, that’s if they even bring a key which isn’t incredibly common.

I play red ranks where it’s a consistent Billy, nurse and spirit nearly every match. I feel like people that make these proposals are in the lower ranks and don’t realize how devastating some of their complaints for survivors would be when it’s with 2k+ hour killers that already 4K nearly every game.

Sad thing is I believe bhvr actually listens to a lot of these things

At least moris require you to do something in order to gain the usage of it. Key's literally just give extra effects with the bonus of opening the hatch. If you want to rework moris you simply just get rid of them and make the kill a normal part of the game.
