Bring back Hatchgrabs!

Too many a times have last survivors been able to simply creep up behind me while the second to last survivor was busy being dragged away by the entity. Too many a times have cocky survivors been allowed to key the black lock and escape right under my nose while I attempt my old trick of grabbing them. Even in the loading screen it used to be said that the entity was especially pleased with hatch grabs, so why would they cease to be a part of the entity's rules?

Hatch stand-offs have been patched out, thankfully, but why should that come at the expense of balance?

It's because whoever found it first gets it. (except keys)

Also if you press the button first you should have priority.

As for the forum thing i think they are having some sort of issues with the site.

Untrue. If I find it first and stand on top of it, when a survivor occupies even a single corner of it, it won't let me close the hatch. Killers do not have priority.

No, No point to, You can already kick it, if you can grab that ######### would be agrivating + the devs already cater to new killers and you can STILL kick it if their mid air jumping in theres NO point for this to be back

@TunnelMeHarderDaddy I fixed those for you and deleted your other post. 😉

In these last days this forum is having some issues, that's why you were not able to edit them yourself. It's only temporary.

Kicking it whike they are at mid air should be a grab. If it is the last guy than he is dead anyway and it wouldn’t look as clunky at least. About the key it sounds fair to punnish them for jumping in in front of the killer’s nos

If we do, then one of these two things needs to happen:

    1. Killers can grab the Survivor while their weapon is on cooldown.
    2. Keys need to have a channel so the Survivor can't just use it in the Killer's face and get a free escape (honestly this should happen anyways).

The Survivor will not be able to run up to the Hatch without any consequence. They'll have to outmaneuver the Killer and gain enough distance to prevent them from being grabbed (if the Killer hasn't closed the Hatch of course).

I actually think killers have priority over hatch as long as you're just spamming spacebar. Every time I get into a standoff with the last survivor I always get the close before they can jump in. And if the survivor has a key then you should've just kept a better eye on that survivor during the match to eliminate them early. SWFs will negate this obviously always having someone going after the key, which is where Franklin's helps. Only problem I can see with hatch escapes currently is Plunderer's giving so many keys.

Actually, as much as we all love Hatch grabs, it would be a bad idea to bring it back. (Standoffs, anyone misses them?) However, it would make sense if opening hatch with a key would not be instantaneous, rather it took at least 2-3 seconds, and it would be possible to grab a survivor while he or she is at it.

i understand the keys, but you can just kick it, using it as bait really wont help you unless your a low - no terror radius killer

Just close the hatch on site. Don't look to check, just close it. If they are following you, they can't get it. If they are hiding then they can't get it. Also you can close the hatch under their feet.
