So im playing as survivor in haddonfield, and the killer is looking for, I'm behind a fence, a part of the the fence where there is no vaulting area, and killer is able to hit me through the fence while I'm crouching. What kind of BS is that? The fence is supposed to protect from the killer and now it turns out he can hit me through it? For real?

It doesnt have invisible tall barriers. They swung over the fence.

It would have protected me from a hatchet. And i understand when they still hit you just after you vaulted, but on a part where you are supposed to be protected this should not happen

no, killers have always been able to hit you through fences. you have to hug the fence tight in order for it to be possible though, so just avoid that when the killer is on the other side and you're fine

You were within the perimeters of where you can be hit by the killer weapon. A huntress hatchet wouldn’t have hit you because she would have to aim down, which would be imposible.

Nope, it's always been that way, otherwise it's just too easy staying behind a waist high barrier and being invincible.

That said, Haddonfield is a horrible map and needs a rework at least.

You were too close to the fence you need to stay a bit farther away on the other side.

Think of fences more like windows you cant vault through, that'll keep you away from them a bit.

You can hit a survivor over the low fences in Haddonfield with an M1 swing if they are close enough to the fence.

You do have to be pretty close though, it rarely happens.

@sluc16 I also had to learn this the hard way back then. As all the others mentioned it is supposed to be like that, it makes sense and it has been that way.

The killer hits you OVER the fence, not through it. It is only a small fence.

The fences are not a magical wall that stops any incoming attacks, the killer can hit over them by design if you stay too close to them. The same can be done with the fences around the Thompson house.

Try to get to a fence irl and stretch your arm over it. Can you do it? If the answer is yes, imagine there is a person there. Would you be able to hit them? If the answer is yes you'll realize how ridicuouls this thread is.
