im STARRING the whole time at ghostface with my whole power and i CANT "see" him

WTF man? Im doing everything I can but the mechanics are just "AYYY just stalk, hide, stalk, hide, stalk, hide, stalk, exposed, down -_- And During the chase you have no red light and NO TR

why you let him like he is right now? Why is this legit? @Peanits Please my Lord explain me why this is still a thing?

Why is there no "you can see him while he's leaning" because..I see him?

Why is there no "yo, obviously he's chasing you, this should deplete his power"

Why is there no " yo if youre not able to expose someone BEFORE he saw you the stalk meter resets?

It's so worse and makes me rage quitting. I dont do so far but I will because thats not fun to play against it's frustrating and rewards the killer for being everything else than sTeAltHy ...

I find Ghostface the funnest killer to play against in several releases (assuming the killers themselves aren't playing super toxicly like camping and such). I actually LIKE breaking him out of stealth before he can get me, deciding to let him hit me to drain my stalk meter, etc. Sure, it's, at times, a bit buggy with detection and such, but the basic theory of his mechanics has turned out to be quite fun.

too bad this whole stuff is fun for everybody except ghostface players, who actually paid for this.

impudent survivors who just run towards me to break me out and force a hit to make me lose stalk progress is extremely annoying.

@JAWS_BDSM did you just complain about survivors letting you hit them??XD om killer really ask for everything now days honestly if you see ghost face it should instantly put him out of stalk mode because that ######### stalking is. if im stalking someone who knows im there, it isn't stalking just plane and simple

This reminds me of ye olde freddy posts. Dude freddy shouldnt be able to hit you until he puts you in the dream world thats how it works in the movies. First thing behaviour is doing is removing that mechanic to make an actually impactful killer because it was bad game design.

The concept of stalking dosent work on a myriad of maps blood lodge being one of the most obnoxious examples. Several gens and map setups makes gf stalk approaches limited and ultimately fruitless as survivours have a vision advantage with the large camera. Not to mention the fact ghostfaces power awares the survivour when they are exposed alerting them gf is close and coming.

I mean lets compare this with another double standard. Using you logic how do survivours heal each other or heal themselves without bandages or healing supplies? Gf stalking is underwhelming and is fundamentally bad game design as your handicaped by requiring a long time to stalk with an alert to the successfully stalked survivour and requiring this to be done by the side with less map vision. His power is denied by a survivour pointing there camera at you do you have any idea how frustrating and badly designed that is.

Even if he couldnt have his stealth broken he would still be a weaker myers. My suggested fix is his stealth breaks as normal but he can still stalk at a 50% reduced stalk rate. The game will give the survivour an audio cue to aware them when they are reducing the effectiveness of gf stalk.

Oh so you want it to be instant? Oh and survivors just doing constant 360 with their camera?

maybe because they deny the only fun part of GF gameplay: oneshots? oh, sorry, I forgot that killers are clowns who serve the only purpose: entertain survivors, killers` fun does not matter, they are meanies and do not deserve it. AM I RIGHT, DEAR SURVIVOR MAIN?

I ignore this guy who justify the way ghostface works now.

And I also ignore the guy who starts insulting someone as survivor main in combination that the killer gameplay gets ignored which is absolutely not the theme and absolutwly not the case. Every gameplay get's their tweaks they need.

So Im telling you that I am starring at GF the whole time hes >CHASING< me (from the point i saw him sneakin up to me) and it's not depleting his power he just continue stalking, hides for a part of a second behind a wall and so on. And then, during the chase if he wasnt able to make me exposed, he starts his night shroud again, stalks me for the last second where I CANNOT do anything against it because it takes 1.5? secs before I can break him out of "sTeaLtH" and he just onehit me ...

And some guys who knows everything about good game design wanna tell me THATS good game design? Yea and Nurse is balanced pepeHands

Ghostface needs immediately some mechanics which breaks his power when a survivor sees him obviously and especially........when a survivor is chasing him

But Im sure every dev thinks "yea, ######### it. GF is dogshit and it's okay because we need more cosmetics and other dlc killer with broken / exploitable mechanics in this game while major things gets ignored like solo lobbys for examble. But that's just what Im thinking slowly. Not wondering that many veterans leave the game and newbies dont wanna stay.

@JAWS_BDSM I agree, I like how they’re like free hits are great...umm no, depriving an entire power, waiting for a long cool down at base (or you have to use addons which can also be better used to help with the immediate breaks anyway I.e. drivers licence) and just being a basic trapper without traps killer is not fun or great just because someone followed you or went out of their way to break it especially in SWF matches. Losing stalk progress on a hit is just...why is this even a thing? especially when it comes to body blocking etc. It takes effort and time to stalk without being seen and if you need to hit them at any point later well say goodbye to all of that effort/time.

Instant reveals...seriously people want him to go back to only being able to use his “power” to hide a TR/stain for a few seconds and resume M1 killer chases. He’s fine, play him a bit yourself and learn how he works before complaining like this...oh wait probably didn’t buy him anyway because most still think he’s not worth it.

Ok. Do you think it's fair though that if the person playing GF is being stealthy, starts stalking you to build up the insta-down, but you get notified and all his hard work just became useless because obviously you know he's close now? That happens to me all the time. Survivors shouldn't know there being stalked. That's a major flaw. You don't know when Myers is stalking you...

As always with any kind of balance suggestion: have you played both sides?

I think he does need slight QoL tinkering but killing Night Shroud completely is not that.

It's actually already almost too easy to break imo. Any attack, missed or successful, and any stuns (mainly pallet but also stuff like Head On or Decisive) will immediately cancel it, downed, hooked and healthy survivors can all stare at him and the range on the stare is substantial. The downed survivor part is especially sour as it makes successful gen grabs bitter sweet event as your reward for sneaking up on someone is immediately loosing your power. It kinda makes sense but that doesn't make it any less exasperating.

He doesn't have an innate ability to deal with loops other than being able to threaten with Exposed and hide his red light (something that any killer can do actually, but it's only really useful at a select few spots where the killer can break line of sight). If he is forced in a chase he is already at a disadvantage. He can't blink at you like a Nurse, close of the loop with traps or mind game you with spirit walk. He doesn't even get the faster vault and longer lunge of T3 Myers.

As for the Killer Instict notification he gets, they seem to bug out(?) sometimes and just not show up at all or just confuse the hell out of you as you frantically search who and from where stared/staring at you.

Also, related: I feel that the Victim's Detailed Routine add on is bugged and actually increases the range you can get broken out; I swear I was broken out from a longer than normal distance when I tried it out but haven't really tested it.

There actually was a notifications that warned you when Myers stalked you for a certain amount but I believe that was removed at some point, so yeah.

Make survivors first person. Give them 180 turn radius. Killers already are like stiff robots when chasing peeps, so I see no problem. Make him get exposed as usual when hes visible, ANY part of him, distance is nagotiable, tit for tat namsaiyan. Bam. Fixed. First person would without any doubts fix many issues with this entire game, not just Ghostface. It would also make playing survivor actually feel scary.
