Punish Camping and Tunneling
Okay so I don’t mean punish like giving them a disadvantage I just mean discourage it. If these perks were reworked I think it might help.
Decisive Strike
The timer for it only starts going down when the killer goes away from you and stops when they start chasing you again. Make the timer 35/40/45 seconds instead of 40/50/60 seconds.
Kindred
Kindred shoulda Have a slightly large tree range.
When on the hook and being camped
If the killer is right there you should be able to struggle way longer than when they are not.
New perk ideas that hopefully discourage some it.
Payback
When you’re on the hook Thisbe perk becomes available. The closer then killer is to you the higher percentage of getting off the hook is. If you get off the hook and the killer isn’t right there the killer isn’t stunned for 4 seconds and you get a burst of energy. After that you get the exhausted perk for 60/50/40 seconds.
Tainted Meat.
If you made it to the second stage on your first hook, whenever you get hooked again you will go back to stage 1. Overall struggle time on the Hook isn’t increased by 10/20/30 seconds.
No Tracks Left Behind
After getting unhooked, you and your rescuer don’t leave scratch marks for 6/8/10 seconds. The killer also can’t see you and your rescuers aura for 15/20/25 seconds.
anyways I made this because the game get so boring when they tunnel and camp so yeah. If you are getting tunneled because you are obsession I guess that’s works but if you’re not then it’s stupid.

If you think about it, killers that camp and tunnel already get punished if the survivors gen rush until the survivor is being tiered up. Killers that camp and/or tunnel are wasting their time when they could be hunting another survivor. They also lose points the longer they stay around the hook. So yes, camping and tunneling killers can be a pain, but if the survivors are smart about it, they can punish the killer again forcing him/her to depip as well.

Tainted meat & no tracks left behind sound amazing! Your idea of a change for decisive strike sounds good as well.

Tainted meat seems a little overpowered, but I really like no tracks left behind and the rework for DS and buff for kindred, especially since the killer pretty much has to be on top of you for the killer aura to be shown.

A great change that would help with camping would be a little Entity intervention (seeing as the entity oversees each round).
If a killer is within close proximity of a hooked survivor for more than 10 seconds, the entity starts to appear and grabs their feet, rooting them to the spot for 5 seconds.
Should be easy enough to implement?

I feel like there are many people in this forum that don't play both sides. Yes, being focused down as a survivor can be frustrating. However, there are already perks that discourage killers from doing so. As a killer, playing around Borrowed Time and Decisive Strike while tunneling is already a huge time investment. Camping is only viable against survivors that greed for unhooks. Also, while I almost never camp, tunneling is just necessary from time to time. Having 4 people to deal with is really stressful, especially when some of them juke well and the others are at least compenent enough to hold M1 and hit good skill checks. When ruin is gone, there is a lot of pressure for killers to get a kill as quickly as possible and tunneling is one way of doing so. This applies especially for non-top-tier killers.

Congratulations. You just made the 10000th pointless rant post about camping-and-tunneling. Please accept this gift as a token of our appreciation:

Killers already get punished for camping. Gens get done super quickly, points are taken away, a lot of survivor perks are geared toward countering camping, and if survivors are all near and you try to fight them off, then you might be called a camper when there was no reason to leave the hook anyway. It's really not a problem.
I mentioned this, but camping is already bad for killers because of point reduction. Points get taken away from the sacrifice category for staying near the hook.
Then you have killers that can't really defend hooks anyway, like trapper, wraith, and others. Sure, you'd think they'd be good at this, but often times survivors won't have an issue in practice.
There are perks that help survivors even more, such as Kindred, DS, Borrowed Time, Mettle of Man, and Deliverance. They punish the killer for doing anything, such as staying near them for trap placement or such, and punishing the killer for leaving the hook.
Making more perks to counter something the game punishes just wouldn't make sense.
Also, Tainted meat with Deliverance... not a combo I'd want to see, thank you.
No Tracks Left behind would encourage tunneling because if there are no scratches, then killers will default to audio, and guess who's louder? The one who just got rescued.

If survivors stopped rewarding killers who camp by throwing themselves at hooks to save each-other, or killing themselves right away on the hook straight away when they notice they're being camped.. there wouldn't be any campers.
Just saying.

@se05239 Precisely, but everything in the game from altruism points, hook timers, and the behavior of re-hooking survivors to generator efficiency and additionally everything about humans in nature from caring about others to survivors not recognizing the game as a horror game in those scenarios encourages survivors to unhook others even to their self-destruction. Rather than blaming one side for not having the benefit of communications for the purpose of efficiency, you should point people who argue for punishment of killers to the fact that the game needs to be balanced around survivors not being unhooked at the same time as accounting for survivors being unhooked and healed.

Yeah, lets forget those things exists because someone is using a stupid meme, how kewl.

It doesnt matter, they keep doing it anyway, not everyone plays SWF, you know?
And survs tend to go to unhook so lots of times they fall into the trap, you dont have signs to tell them he is there, it gets dumb pretty quick.
If the entity is so killer friendly then why the hell even play the game?
Why Dwight, Meg and everyone should even try?

Wrong, they just dont care and keep facecamping the hook, survs gets gens done, exit the map and nobody gains a pip, a total waste of time.
Been there lots of times.

Well, yeah. You cannot do much about the ones that'll never change but most of the people who camp by survivor standards CAN be changed.

@Alkanaro this is a non problem. Few killers camp, and the ones that do screw their own game, except if survivors are stupid. The ideas presented here are bad, and mostly, there is at least one new post about camping EVERY DAY. These people don't care their silly ideas have been suggested by others, just writing out their frustration because they were camped and they didn't like it. It's pure spam, no more.

I agree with the Kindred changes, but otherwise, I don't think there really needs to be much more to counter camping. Few killers can actually do it well, and good survivors will just gen rush the killer to get out. Besides, killers who do camp get much less points overall, and a lot of time, it's the survivor's own fault if they let the killer get a 4k off of them. I've always considered camping to be one of those things that takes low skill, but can get a high reward if the survivors you're playing against are sluts for altruism.
