Honestly, i'm out of ideas, i don't even know WHAT to buff, the madness status effect or carter's spark...

i'd love to hear what the doctor mains would want

    He doesn't need to be reworked, but his shock needs to be reliable. That's what hurts him. If you were able to know with 100% certainty that shocking at X moment would stop a survivor from dropping the pallet / hitting the window, etc. he would be in a very good position.

    i agree with you, a little buff in the stun time would be nice, cuz when you shock a survivor and they get stunned, by the time you switch to punishment mode there is a chance the stun wore off

    reduce charge time on shock/get rid of slow down

    fix his bugs.

    Make snap out of it a healing action again

    increase the time shock blocks interactions from 2.5 seconds to 3 seconds

    Boom. hes done (add a second ultra rare)

    His Shock Therapy should destroy dropped pallets, in my opinion.

    If it's too strong, increase the movement speed penalty while charging Shock Therapy to compensate.

    More default range and a faster charge speed.

    that is an amazing idea, however feels too good to be in his base kit, maybe if they rework his ultra rare iridescent king add on, cuz rn it i way too annoying to go against

    @DocOctober The faster charge speed you mention will help him much more at shutting down loops so that makes sense. His range seems fine it is the inconsistency at which his shocks connect IMO that needs a change.

    His range is pathetic. It's 9 metres, barely more than an outer wall segment.

    @DocOctober That is why i use addons and usually run distressing by default on him. As they adjust maps and make them smaller increasing his shock range with be a short term fix but a long-term problem.

    Sorry no. Even on the smallest maps DbD currently has the default shock range is pathetic, even in the tight spaces of Léry's Memorial Institute.

    Not really, if he tries to use his Shock Therapy, he'll likely get looped even more. Therefore, survivors will have to see how he plays in order to avoid getting shocked, then hit.

    In addition to what I wrote above; two QoL changes, though one is quite optional

    1) When standing still, the Doctor assumes the idle animation his Hallucinations have, allowing for more mindgame capabilities.

    2) Reinstate the Hot Pink Aura he used to have for allies.

    Add fake pallet to the basic build.

    Increase the speed and the range for shock or increase the time where survivors can't interact.

    Small change but I'd make it so you only start gaining madness in his terror radius once he shocks you.

    I as many others agree his basic shock needs to be longer range. I suggest the brown electrode for base. Then the only change I would make which should be across all the parts of the game. If you are shocked you shouldn't vault or drop the pallet. Similar to being hit and then dropping the pallet. This SHOULD be an action that is cancelled. If you are shocked and then go for a pallet by logic you shouldn't be able to. Similar to vaulting the running vault typically overrides the shock even if you are shocked before the vault. This leads to an error in consistency of the power.
