Dream Pallets are Weak Due to No Collision
I noticed while playing Freddy that survivors have already came up with a counter to the pallets so they never have to wake up and memorize pallets. The simple way to tell if a pallet is a dream one is by running into it and you will phase through it into the surface it is against allowing you to move to another real pallet before enough distance is closed to punish you. I noticed this against a SWF, purple flashlight using, Haddonfield offering using, T-bagging team the hard way. Needless to say, I struggled for the 2k since I had no power. Also, this allowed one of them to go around checking pallets by running into them and throwing the fake ones while I was chasing their teammate making the pallets useless.
I hesitated to make this post so it becomes public knowledge but there is no other way to get the devs to change this without bringing it up. I want this specific power of his to have strength and not be discernible from normal pallets as I wanted a power like this since doctor's relatively disappointing fake pallets, by comparison only since he has other powers, released.

It is also worth noting that this is the only match I have seen where this is used so it is also possible it is a bug since I haven't had a chance to test it yet. I will test as survivor and post my findings here.

Interesting... didn't know that. It should have collision or Freddy will be too easy with pallets.

Update: This is an intentional feature with some finicky mechanics that is just occasionally breaking so I am remaking a post in bugs. When a pallet is spawned on a survivor inside of 1 meter of the fake pallet (asleep or awake) collision stays gone on the pallet until there is 0 players within 1 meter of the pallet as a way to keep the collision from trapping them. This is actually a clever design but I believe it occasionally bugs out, or people have found a way to make them all bug out, to allow you to tell the difference between real and fake pallets.

Glad it's not intentional because that would suck.

Definitely. I hope that, if this is a bug or exploit, it is fixed before it becomes widespread.
