What does Luck actually do?
I know it affects hook-escape chances, but does it have any other affect at all? I've heard various answers claiming all kinds of various things, such as spawn distance from the killer or better chest contents or even affecting the fog, yet others say it does none of that. I'm sure at least some answers I've heard were trolls, but I'm not even sure which is which anymore.
This feels like the right place to finally get a proper,definitive answer.

If I remember correctly luck just simply increases your escape chance off the hook.

Increase your escape chance off the hook as previously said by @Cornpopers , and escape trapper's traps. You can watch the wiki as well:

It used to affect skillchecks. But for now it's just escape attempts on hooks and traps.

Unfortunately, it only affect self unhook chance and chance to escape from a bear trap.
