Increase Compensation for Disconnects
Disconnects have always disrupted the flow of the game greatly. Survivor disconnects usually mean an automatic loss for survivors and way less points for killers. Killer disconnects completely end a game that might have been fun to play. And lately, disconnects seem to be happening more and more often.
In my opinion, the points that you get in compensation for the huge loss that you get for a DC have never been enough. It is also problematic that disconnecting survivors lose nothing but pips which encourages people to disconnect, sometimes just to rank down and face weaker opponents.
My Suggestion is that on Killer disconnects, every survivor consistently gets the full 5000 Survival points as well as 2000 Boldness points for making the killer disconnect and 1000 points each in Objectives and Altruism as compensation for the points that could have been gained in the match.
On Survivor disconnects, survivors should gain compensation points since a 5 gen match with only 3 players is almost impossible to win: Survivors should get 2500 Survival points since they're probably not going to survive as well as 1000 Altruism points for the missed opportunity of unhooking the disconnected survivor.
Killers should also be compensated more greatly. The most important point in this post is that killers should be compensated in the actual sacrifice category as Brutality can usually be filled through other means while Sacrifice is impossible to complete without 4 survivors that can be hung 2 to 3 times. My suggestion would be Sacrifice points equal to the points that would be gained from hanging the disconnected Survivor however many times would have been possible depending on their hook progression. If the disconnecting survivor was not hung, a stack of Barbecue and Chili should also be gained. 500-1000 Points in Brutality, Chasing and Deviousness could also help make the rest of the game feel like less of a desperate attempt to fill these categorys through semi-farming.
These changes should make disconnects feel less awful to experience. However, some kind of actual punishment for repeated disconnects could actually decrease the possibility of them happening.
My ideas for that punishment are a 5-10 minute waiting period to queue up for another match after disconnecting from one, a temporary decrease of earned XP or permanent crows for a few matches.

I agree, survivors are nearly guaranteed an automatic loss and killers lose out on a boat load of points when someone DC's, especially when 2 or more dc nobody makes anything and the game is over, everyone who stays loses their stuff on a waste of a match and that's it. Nothing gained, waste of time
