Perk Nerf Balancing Ideas (Please Give This A Chance)
Can we nerf some perks already and add some new ones. People are asking for killer nerfs and the killers don't need nerfs, some of the perks do. Before I get into everything, some perks are a problem and need readjusting on both survivors and killers sides. The problem is so bad, it's to the point where certain perks have to be baseline for every killer/survivor that it takes the fun out of other builds that were once good, now be useless. And don't get me started on hitboxes.
Now to finally get into more detail. So a lot of people when they here a nerf, most automatically think, oh know this mean a perk redesign or a nerf so hard that the ability is basically useless. *Cough, mettle of man*. In stead of nerfing great abilities to the ground, let's start nerfing by using non stackable perks.
For example, alot of people hate hexes in every single game and most killers run several as a baseline and never choose anything else. So let's have it to where the killers can only use one hex per build. I know personally and by alot of the survivors in the community. One of the most hated builds to this day is Barbeque and chilli, Ruin and NOED. By nerfing stackable hexes, they now have to choose one or the other. I would not nerf Barbaque and chili. I like the counters that you have to use already, but combining with both totems makes it impossible to finish a game ever.
One abusive perk build I can see once the demi gorgon comes out, is , spirit fury and then running cruel limit and surge. To me that would make sure you kill everyone on the map with the right killers, especially with Nurse and Spirit.
I know a lot of people are bitching about this at this point and feel like I am one sided towards this situation. I am here to tell you survivors would also be affected by non stackable perks. Example, you can only use one exhaustion perk per build. Which means, adrenaline cannot be baseline for every survivor now, and would have to think of more clever builds. Another stackable nerf idea would be to either choose deliverance or decisive strike. We should bring back mettle of man, but cant stack it deliverance and or decisive strike. All in all, stop nerfing the abilities, and nerf them with not being able to stack them with other OP perks, so more clever builds can be created and used.
Give this a chance.

No. Just no. For one thing, several hex perks only have value if ran with other hex perks. Hex: Thrill of the Hunt for example. Survivors also have a very simple solution when it comes to hex perks... BREAK THE TOTEMS! By their very nature, hex perks are fragile things. Once they are broken then the killer just loses an entire perk slot for the duration of the game. That is a pretty major downside.
If anything at all, hex perks could use a little love. For instance, it is pretty much BS that an active hex spawns on the opposite side of the map right next to where a survivor spawns. There are situations where the killer literally runs directly to the hex at the start of the match and a survivor has destroyed it before the killer even had an opportunity to defend it. That simply shouldn't happen. At the start of the game, active hex totems should be immune to survivors for 30 to 45 seconds. At least give the killer a chance to defend them! The dev team is working on it, and they have made vast improvements on many maps, but there are still many totem spawn locations that are just ridiculous.
Now, it sounds to me like what your primary complaint is about running into the same killer perks over and over. But that is the nature of the beast. There will always be a "meta" in a game like this. It's not surprising that you run into BBQ, NOED and Ruin repeatedly. That is because many players perceive them to be the strongest 3 killer perks.
I would gladly, gladly have Ruin deleted from the game if they just slowed down the base speed that survivors can finish all their generators. If they added a secondary objective such as finding parts to repair generators which slowed the game by approximately 3 minutes then there wouldn't be a need for Ruin in the first place! As far as BBQ is concerned, if they just made the bonus bloodpoints part of the base game then I would gladly do some experimenting with other perks. But I'm not giving up half my bloodpoints!

Having a hex block would mean Haunted would become useless.
"One abusive perk build I can see once the demi gorgon comes out, is , spirit fury and then running cruel limit and surge. To me that would make sure you kill everyone on the map with the right killers, especially with Nurse and Spirit. "
Maybe. Maybe not. (also Spirit Fury alone much wow, also on Nurse) PTB i think should be out this week so we'll see.
And your last point... You cannot run more than one exhaustion. I guess that fixes the "adrenaline" meta thing... maybe.
"We should bring back mettle of man, but cant stack it deliverance and or decisive strike. All in all, stop nerfing the abilities, and nerf them with not being able to stack them with other OP perks, so more clever builds can be created and used. "
No. No to all no to every.
"Give this a chance."
