What about camping ?

camping really makes some games unfun, i know you said you were not able to do anything, but are you still thinking about doing something in the future ?

I mean, it's really something that can make you stop playing. After two, three campers in a row you just don't want to play anymore.

the rank penality system just don't work enought since most survivors will still try to save other survivors even if they are being camped. I can figure why it's hard to "nerf" camping but i just want to know if this is still something you're looking into that or just completely gave up.

dead by daylight is a great game, and i would really love to be able to enjoy it at all times and stop praying for a "good" killer.

I really think (and many people think the same) that camping is one of the reasons that makes dead by daylight very frustrating and not fun to play sometimes. It won't kill the game completely but a consequent part of the community stopped playing because of those "bad games"

I will remain with my idea, a camped survivor gets bp from the objective category when people are doing gens and the survival category for looking into the devil's eyes.

Yes, it won't remove camping from the game, but the camped survivor won't just be annoyed and dc, some people will be even happy when they are camped because now they will get free bp.

I believe camping is already punished enough, and that it is a sign of a broken loop-game. I'm not saying that it is 100% warranted all the time, but there are definitely some games that force us killers to. When I get looped so hard, blinded by flashlights, tbagged and palleted non-stop that I choose to camp knowing that my bloodpoints will take a hit, the survivor is the real killer in the game.

Solution to camping is to double team the killer. Have another survivor lure him away from hook while another player rescues him. Triple team if need be.

kindred should be a part of base kit, but that’s my opinion

Camping is only punished in ranking, not in bloodpoint gain.

Ive been on multiple games where a hag is camping and they get 28k points because they keep catching and downing survivors that try to go for the save and slugging just to make sure the hooked surv doesnt get saved while taking the other surv to another hook.

They should make it so if a killer is within 15 meters for 20 seconds they start receiving half points for every action.

If a killer is 3/4/7 meters of the hook the gens should be done 50/20/10% faster. End of camping

At least when you are getting looped you are free to chase someone else or at least moove

Some killer just won't take the bait on some other will just play leatherface and kill anyone near the hook

despite numerous "nerfs" to camping, it still isn't enough to detract killers from doing so. It still is far too effective of a way of killing people, especially with...certain killers.

They just need to further incentivize leaving the hook, and then they can continue nerfing camping by adding more mechanics that should eventually discourage anyone from being that much of a jerk.

Nerfs and punishments just don't work. I agree with @Mat_Sella in that incentives to leave the hook are much more effective - time and again, every PTB and attempt to influence play has shown that the stick almost never works (shut it Doctor) compared to the carrot.

While I'd be down for reduced BP if the killer stays near the hook [even as a killer main], I'd be outright against gen speed increasing or similar buffs to survivors, and I think that penalty shouldn't be there if other survivors are near the hook, similar to current Hunting/Chaser emblem regression.

More perks that reward leaving the hook, like Devour Hope, would be nice. Maybe something like "Profane Hunter: gain a +2/4/6% speed increase per currently hooked survivor outside a certain radius when not in chase."

Lmaooooo this made me laugh so loud. Thats an awful idea but it definitely WOULD stop camping lmaooo like, "you gonna camp? Get ready for a 3 minute game"

most of the time, good killers don't need to camp dude. You can be the best survivor and last for the entire game with the killer behind you, get downed at the very end and get camped to death. Camping IS a problem for everyone.
