Perk Balancing
Me along with multiple of my friends have played this game for almost a year now. We all are/have been in red rank as both killer and survivor and I am going to make a list of perks that need or we would like to see recieve buff/nerf/change. I will also not be talking about perk bugs like the Iron Will hook time bug as those will be fixed eventually. Also will not talk about blood point perks.
I want to say I play a little more survivor than killer so there may be a slight bias. I do think that there isn't enough diversity in what is usable in the survivor perk pool. Meaning in red rank everyone runs self care, exhaustion perk, ds, adrenaline. Only perks you see and after a while as killer it gets boring to fight and as survivor boring to play. Now I will make a list of perks that need changed and potential changes. PS I know I will get some hate for some of these.
Survivor Perks:
Left Behind: Needs Buff, Probably in mist dire need of a change. Possible change is make it do sheer gen speed. Starting at 3, 4, 5% gen increase level 1, 2, 3. Gets 1.5% increase for each survivor that dies. DOES NOT STACK. If 2 people have it and are on a gen it will balance out the penalty for multiple people on a gen. So kind of like Prove Thy Self but better used on individual gens.
DS: Needs changed, Should only last 25, 30, 35 seconds at level 1, 2, 3. BUT activates the second you get downed. This prevents killers from slugging you and making it useless. Also prevents survivors from abusing their ds timer. This would make it soely an anti tunnel perk and not being able to use 50 seconds then the killer picks you up and you wasted a bunch of their time.
Boil Over: Needs Change, Get rid of killer hook aura block. In turn make you wiggle faster at the same degree of iron grasp. So both at level 3 cancel eachother out.
Auto Didact: Needs Change, Not sure how to change. Very underused and not a competitive enough perk. Leave suggestions below.
Calm Spirit: Needs Buff, Possibly make killer over time abilities be slower. Examples being Shape stalks slower along with Gohst Face, Plagues Puke timer is longer, etc. This wouldn't make it super good but it would make it useful against more killers.
Head On, Needs Change, Currently not viable as an exhaustion perk as it's not good enough to be one. That being said it could be if the range was buffed. Or it was on it's own timer like 300, 270, 240 seconds at level one two and three. It also would only use it up if it worked.
Adrenaline: Needs Nerf, This perk is wayyy too overused and good. Exhaustion should start at 80, 70, 60 seconds at level 1, 2, 3. This would make it actually penalizing if you use it because it heals you a health state along with the speed boost.
No Mither: Needs Buff, Start healthy then once hit you become broken but broken status is hidden to the killer. I think it should also be hidden with Deliverance also so the killer doesn't know that one of your perks are now gone.
Dena Vu: Needs Buff, Actively updates closest 3 gens and possibly everyone can see the gens if 1 person has it. Not sure if that last bit would break it or not.
Object Of Obsession: Needs Nerf, Can't see certain killers using stealth abilities like Wraith, Gohstface, Pig, etc. If you can't see the killer the killer can't see you.
Detective"s Hunch: Needs Buff, Should last 8 seconds so you can actually look around.
This is Not Happening: Needs Buff, Makes all skill checks bigger or works when healthy also with reduced percentage.
Solidarity: Needs Buff, Possibly recover a small amount of exhaustion. Not entirely sure of a change but it's underused.
Windows of Opportunity: Needs Buff, Should highlight fake pallets a different color.
Wake Up: Needs Buff, All survivors can see eachother while you are opening an exit gate. Or allow you to see the hatch aura within a certain range that is possibly outside of the noise range of the hatch.
Killer Perks:
The Infamous NO ED: Needs Change, Should no longer be totem perk and remove speed boost. BUT should last 40, 50, 60 seconds at level 1, 2, 3 from when you hit a survivor this is when your exposed starts so this survivor will be downed then everyone sees exposed and then a bar like with haunted ground. This would make it so you get it everytime as killer but survivors aren't hopeless on maps like Backwater Swamp where finding totems in near impossible without perks to help you find them.
Monstrous Shrine: Needs Buff, Not sure how to fix but not good enough.
Territorial Imparative: Needs Buff, Needa to last more than 3 seconds. Possibly like 6 seconds.
Huntresses Lullaby: Needs Buff, 4 Tokens required to get to no warning instead of 5.
ShadowBorn: Needs Buff, Make it stack with Moniter and Abuse or do something else. This is a super underused perk and needs a purpose. Out of all of the perks in this game this perk is cureently one of the most useless perks in the game in my opinion.
Hangman's Trick: Needs Buff, Automatic repair timer 30 seconds at level 3 for the hooks.
These are all of the perks that I with some input from my friends think need a change. Feel free to comment about any more perks that need changed or ideas of how to change some other perks that I wasn't sure on. Feel free to disagree with me and comment why. I will probably actively check this as I am curious to see what other people think.
