How buff Ruin and Hex Totem without change totem?
When you play killer, there is this moment when a survivor find your hex totem and you know soon it will be destroye. How can we change this?
First option: At the begin of the trial the hex totem is hide for the killer and the survivors. The flame of the hex totem show after 1 or 2 minute after the start of the trials.
Second option (my favorite): The killer can put out the fire of the hex totem. During this time the effect will be deactivate. The killer can light up another totem and reactivate the perk, if the killer have more than one hex totem, the killer can put out only one totem at a time. The killer can change the totem until is hex totem is destroy or there is no others free totem. The killer will have a short animation using a lighter or someting else.
Third option: The killer one time per trials when a hex totem is destroy, the killer can light up another totem, if the killer have more than one hex totem the killer will reactivate the most recent hex perk destroy.
What do you think of these ideas? Do you think hex totem need a buff?
(sorry for my mediocre english. I hope to be understandable)

My personal idea is to have each Hex Totem start out unlit (the effect will still be active, though), and it lights up when certain conditions exclusive to each individual Totem are met.
Example - Devour Hope won't light up until the perk gets 2 counters. The Third Seal won't light up until at least one (maybe 2?) people are affected by it. Ruin won't light up until X seconds have passed.

Hex totems are meant to be high risk/high reward, the entity isn’t supposed to protect it for you.
