Pause decisive strike while in a chase.
So many times you get tunneled anyways but don't get to use it, pause the timer while in a chase or make it last longer.

You can always jump into a locker to force them to pick you out of it or leave it there wasting time.

it lasts a whole minute. it really doesnt need to be any longer.

You should be able to win a chase before it runs out.

No, git gud.

If you last that long during a chase, then you dont need DS. Get used to not to rely on a second chance perk.

Yeah it would be nice if it could be paused because then it would reward the survivor for running the killer after just getting off the hook. Instead it forces the survivor to play bad in order for the perk to activate it effects. Of course others aren't going to agree with this change though because it makes the perk better. And people already don't like this perk. But I like that change.

I've already had survivors with DS run in front of me while I'm in a chase with someone else trying to get me to down them so they can DS me. That kind of thing would be even worse if the timer paused during such behavior. No thanks.

just down them & slug them for 60s, thats a free hook.

sEcOnD cHaNcE pErK. Killers need to get used to not relentlessly tunneling one person.

No it lasts 60 seconds.
Threads like these make this fit well:

You already have enough second chances

I slug them and continue chasing the person I can hook immediately. If they're still on the ground afterward, then yeah, I hook 'em. Obviously. Right now, that works fine. If the timer paused during a chase, the survivor might have to be slugged for an actual full 60 seconds just to make sure, 'cause you have no idea how much time they spent in a chase vs out of a chase. No one stays slugged that long unless the killer camps them, and I need to be applying pressure elsewhere, I can't babysit a slug for a full minute.
The timer doesn't need to be paused during a chase. Survivors can already force the killer to abandon the chase, waste time waiting it out, or eat the DS by jumping in a locker.

- Jump into a locker.
- Use DS
- Jump back into a locker
- Use Head On
- Blind the killer with party crackers or a flashlight
- Enjoy being on the hitlist.

too exploitable ^^ it would be okay if DS stops while in the dying state but if that happens DS should also deactivates once someone got hooked.

That only gives you a few seconds of live, and you're wasting a bunch of perk and items to make it work, it's clear you play killer.

It's not a survival build (For this i would say that quick and quiet + Lithe is better, this is a bully build… It's clear you play DS, BT, Dead Hard and Adrenaline…

The perk is meant to deter tunneling for a brief window, not to provide a free escape without any consequences or downsides. That's why it got changed to begin with.
