Demogorgon Idea that's lore based

Uh, potential spoilers from Stranger Things here (mostly lore though, from seasons 1 and 2.


Considering how the Demogorgon works in the show (for the Mind Flayer), I think his methods would be useful for the benefit of the entity.

You could allow the Demogorgon to use those parasitic slugs, like in the show, as a sacrificial method for the entity. The Demogorgon feeds the survivor to entity enhanced parasites (instead of a hook) at a hive nest. As he goes to place down the survivor, they climb upwards and wrap themselves around (and inside) the survivor, trapping them.

Normal hook phases apply, with the survivor trying to stay conscious during the struggle phase because of the more aggressive parasites. You can still struggle free in the first stage, as they aren't as aggressive (but the constant sucking motion of the parasite in the mouth is still grotesque). The survivor becomes completely cocooned by the parasites in the sacrifice stage, and the hive nest deflates while being sacrificed instead of being taken by the claws of the entity

It takes two more seconds to unhook the survivor, and the survivor gets a leeched status effect. Until the survivor is healed, the Demogorgon sees the leeched survivor every twenty seconds (and gets an audible notification every time this happens) for 3 seconds (unless within the Demogorgon's terror radius), even in a locker during this time (then the 20 second timer starts again) until the survivor is healed.

This is very like how Will gets "True Sight" (which was also detrimental in many ways) after being leeched by parasites in the show, exposing him to the Mind Flayer. This would make portals more threatening for survivors as the survivor can "betray" the hiding spots of themselves and others to the Demogorgon, "spying" on them, also like in the show with the Mind Flayer (with the entity being the equivalent here).


EDIT: The time before the aura activates should be raised up to about 50 seconds, and it should only be active for 2 seconds, and when the survivor is healed, the aura will activate for 2 seconds before being disabled.
