Pallet stun bug or feature?
I am asking this here because I don't know if it's a bug or if this is correct function.
Following scenario: I am picking up a survivor X inside a pallet. Her mate Y comes around and stands at the pallet. I know that I am going to lose the one I just picked up so I mash M1 in the hopes of getting a hit in on Y. Y does get injured and drops the pallet on me, while I was in the hit recovery animation. I get pushed out of the pallet - but surprisingly did not drop the survivor I was holding.
For the record, I was not using any perks modifying my attack animation (Save the Best for Last, Mad Grit, Unrelenting...)

Depends for example if they drop the pallet has you are picking up a survivor same thing happen. Maybe something similar occured here.

Maybe the timing was weird and funky.

This happens more often you might think. Sometimes when picking up a survivor while being pallet slammed, I'll do what you did and get pushed outside the pallet while not taking a stun or dropping the survivor I'm carrying.
Other times I'll just magically appear standing on top of the pallet, completely unslammed, and jump off and hit the survivor.
Game's broke, hah.

The short answer is maybe.
The long answer is, maybe. It depends on a couple different factors. Latency plays a role here. It's possible that the message of "get stunned" reaches you while you're still in the animation, but you also send the message of "get hit" before that stun takes effect.
The way it should work is that once the pickup animation is over, any stun would make you drop the survivor. But since we're talking about an online game, there's always room for some funky stuff to happen.
