Self-Care Nerf Idea

I was thinking that maybe make it to where when you use self care, if you stop before you fully heal, the progress bar could regress, the same way that a gen regresses when a killer damages it.

This is my thought as well... have it regress when you're not healing and have it regress faster when you're running, vaulting etc... this is the best idea... and if you fail a skill check have it work like failing a skill check on a gen it regresses a chunk...

from the dev stream I saw, theyre already nerfing it so if you stop it resets all progress.

This nerf destroys solo players. As per usual. It doesn't buff killers at all. It in fact, screws players who don't have a load of friends to play with and use comms. This nerf will not in anyway hurt most SWFs. And i'm sure this nerf to SC will come with the additional nerf to healing in general that will reset the progress if you stop healing your teammate. it would only make sense.

Because if I get healed (ie: 75%) by a teammate and then be forced to run, and use SC but get interrupted it would reset to 0 by the logic i "assume" from the dev stream. the only thing most people have problems with are jerks looping, not healing. They need to focus on the biggest abuse against the killer. There shouldn't be safe spots to loop in. But lets bash on the other 30% of the survivor pop because they dont matter in the guise of balancing SWF Lol

I am a killer main and solo survivor.
And ofc SC annoys the crap outta me from my main perspective, but I run it on as a survivor.
I think the reset to zero is a bad idea.
My suggestion would be a partial reset every time you stop healing, any type of healing.
And unfinished healing progress should degrade while sprinting.
This would make micro heals during chases almost impossible and still punishes reckless healing in unsafe spots that need relocating.
But the real problem about SC is something else anyway that the Devs nerf isn't tackling at all.
    Unlimited self sufficient heals.
The nerf that SC needs is charges.
Any time you finish SC it should consume a charge, with 1 charge per tier of the perk.
If you use a medkit to finish the heal, you won't lose the charge.
But remember, switching from SC to medkit will be an interrupted healing and will result in a partial loss of progress (how much is a balancing issue), so that way, the SC user is encouraged to use a medkit and needs to spend more time if he wants to keep his charge.
Regular low rank survivor won't even notice the change, since they never heal 3 times anyway.
But all those high ranks that love to tank a hit, will notice it.

The devs were pretty clear that it wasnt released yet specifically because it will NOT reset healing recieved from medkits and other players.

exactly... they said that it was an idea and they wanted our feedback as well... I feel as if all healing should regress if you stop healing... this would put more pressure on the survivors I don't think the whole reset to 0 thing works because it is simply to punishing and the devs have stated that it may be too punishing as well..
