I'd like to know if this forced change was due to trying to hide the hair/cosmetic mistakes....
This setting is normally something you can manually change in game with no problem. Why was it changed is my question. I'm not a dev, but It should not be bannable.
I also assume they will hotfix correct this later, due to how many issues people are having with it. /shrug.

I recently found a video on youtube which mentioned editing ini files so I inquired about it.
The Response: "You run the risk of being banned if you edit files to gain an advantage."

Hey! I'm the creator of the guide you linked. This is not currently bannable what-so-ever. It's a file that's there, and normally intended for the purposes of tweaking your settings to your liking. As of now, you will not be banned for using this to disable antialiasing. Just avoid messing with other files that you aren't sure about and follow the three steps to the guide directly if you choose to go this route. @rd_dex @HellCatJane

Hey! I'm the creator of the guide you linked. I tried posting a comment earlier but for some reason it didn't send. As of right now, no this is not bannable what-so-ever. Their intended purpose is to tweak settings to your liking. If you decide to go through with using my guide to disable antialiasing, just make sure you follow the three steps clearly and don't mess with any files you're unsure about. I'm open for any questions, and you're always welcome to comment or direct message me if you want further answers to your questions. My steam is attached to the guide (obviously :P) @Irvin @HellCatJane @rd_dex

Btw: I will also be adding a FAQ to my guide relatively soon, to bring forth more clear understanding and hopefully help everyone out.
PS: Keep in mind this option for disabling antialiasing doesn't work for everyone. I'd say about 10% of people still seem to have issues, with FPS drops, or their game becomes more blurry (in which case you can just revert your changes). But I think it's worth a try if you're currently having issues with the recent patch, or you could just wait to see if BHVR reverts the change themselves. It's up to what you feel most comfortable in doing.

Hello,
Modifying any game files is done at your own risk and I would not advise that you do so.
Should you choose to however, if you are banned we will not be able to assist you.

Then give the option in game to turn off anti-aliasing, it seriously is nauseating to look at and forcing this ugly visual style is bad design. You should not be able to be banned for something as simple as a visual change that greatly impacts performance and causes real world illness. Not to mention this was an awful band aid fix for the terrible "improvements" you did to the hair, when it looked much better before hand; and the changes didn't improve FPS whatsoever.

That's pretty basic standard EULA talk and the "Don't hold us liable" kinda thing. /shrug.
Also, more likely because people that don't know any better can and will accidentally change things that they shouldn't. and Yea. so. Can have risk.

Risk, but it's not likely, Peanits even stated so in a past post. Attached the image to my guide, but use it at your own risk I guess.
