Possible solutios to campers

One idea is that when they are within a certain range of a hooked survivor all survivors get a big bonus to repairing, healing, etc.

Another idea could be that the hooked survivors life bar regression is severely slowed when a killer is within a certain distance.

Another idea is when your teammates see camping killer they just genrush him so he gets 1k

Or they work in group to get you unhooked

You don't punish camping, you fix the reason WHY killers camp.

They camp because the game is terribly balanced. Balance the game, fix camping.

I have a vague recollection of a PTB where they tried the slowing down the bar when the killer was nearby thing, and the backlash was so hard they never implemented it.

Thing is survivors can easily abuse that, and be near the hook or do chases and loops around the hook etc. Forcing the killer nearby "to camp". Problem is some camping isn't actually camping. Like if all 4 survivors are there... is it really camping? no... why would the killer leave... etc. Even if its just one person, if they are looping him right near you, that's more on the fault of the survivor not bringing him away so the hooked person can get saved. You kind of have to make these things specific and that's really hard to do for this type of game when things are a little broader... Like its not a perfect cookie cutter thing.

The only way to stop killers camping would be if killers couldn't camp; in other words, if they didn't know where the helpless survivor was. Otherwise, it will always be a way to either 1. ensure a survivor's death, or 2. bring another survivor to you. Attempting to punish killers for camping will not stop it from happening, and people will just call for worse and worse punishments that will hurt players who aren't even trying to camp someone to death but are just playing the game.

    Balance the game?

    Heck, no.

Add perks to fix all the problems of survivors and tell every killer main to play civ 5 and when all the killers are gone, make killers better to shadow nerf them later again.

Killers already lose pip points for being near a hooked survivor. There's no "solutios" needed.

Ok cool idea but let’s balance that by nerfing prove thyself toolbox repair stats remove bnps nerf spine chill any perk that adds bonus to repairs while injured, yeah I didn’t think so. I mean prove thyself and a good toolbox is like double stacking toolboxes, but that’s fair right devs?
