The dark age of DbD is coming
If these Nurses changes go through, all people will see at red ranks will be Spirit, which means she will eventually get a """slight change""". SWF will dominate red ranks and killers playing something else instead of Spirit will get destroyed.
If this happens but Spirit does not get her """slight change""" like the nurse, people will start using the anti spirit build (Iron will, spine chill, etc) making her a little girl with a shiny stick.
And thats how you nerf the two reliable killers in one change. Good luck killing someone at red ranks

It is just that survivors will be even more mad because there will be hardly any lobbies to find which is already the case even on Weekends.

Even if you play Nurse well right now, the right team can still power through and get gens done despite downs in under a minute. When there is nothing that can challenge the death squads DBD will die a toxic and sad death.

Tweak keys, remove insteaheals, tweak spirit, lower the recharge time for two blinks down to 4 seconds and we'll have the most balanced this game has ever been. Check out some footage from beta DBD and Year 1 and say I'm wrong, I'm not. PTBs exist for a reason, let's test the content out, give feedback, and watch them decide what's best for the game. As a Nurse player, I'm glad she's getting her addons tweaked, to be honest, her basekit changes are inconsequential to me.
If these are the dark ages, let them come. I've seen far worse happen in this game.

Just so you know, Iron Will and Spine Chill are strong perks to use against Nurse.
This Nurse Nerf will change nothing in the builds used in high ranks.
You are still going to see a ton of Adrenaline/BT/DS/DH builds.

This, you have plenty of reliable killers to play as but you stick to the holy meta trinity (nurse, billy, spirit), choosing to play as these 3 killers is the reason why rank 1 is so monotonous in the first place.

I know right? The game has been excessively bright since November last year. There is no Dark Age, this is the Bright Age. Dead in Daylight.
Also, contrary to the popular narrative, a nurse nerf is actually bad for survivors, for reasons the OP stated. This means we'll be seeing even more Spirits.
Spirit is actually the #1 killer survivors hate playing against, not Nurse.

Noed last forever, insta heals give survivors immunity for 1 min, killers can just walk through pallets and break them, can you use your mentality to adapt and overcome all that if it were to happen? All people ask for was just changes to her addons and they responded by saying "changing some" and "slightly" touching her base kit, but what they did go with their words? No, and how they did it is even worse and the "to stop blink spamming" is such a bs excuse. Now she has a cooldown on a cooldown. We ask for one thing and they have us more then what we ask for and didn't ask for.

I must disagree, at least with Spirit you can try to mindgame a little and counter, Nurse is so broken that goes thru walls and ceilings like nothing.
Basically a god mode.

Okay, lets be real here. I dont like that they change the nurse in the way they appaerently plan to do, but some sort of nerf was inevitable.
But.. I also dont get most of the complains from killer mains. It is impossible to get Kills in red rank? Maybe you play in the wrong region or at the wrong time i dont know. :o
When i play Killer (50/50 Survivor Killer ratio) the only ones i dont play are Nurse and Spirit and in most games i have 2-4 Kills. I maybe loose 1 game out of 5 (probably it is more 1 out of 10), even with trash like Bubba or Wraith. And i am pretty sure there are way better and especially more experienced players out there.
I think, some expect to win every single game, because the Killer is the so called "power role", but the game is not ballanced around that.
I really dont wanna offend anybody, but if you cant get kills with anything but Nurse, Billy or Spirit, you might not be good enough.

The Spirit will get destroyed after The Nurse, why people are pretend that won't happen soon?

- Freddy has map pressure trough gen teleportation and chase potential trough snares and pallets
- Demo can teleport trough the whole map with his portals and can easily cut loops with his shred
- Myers is fun to play as and can apply great map pressure just trough downing people in T3 if you know how to play him
- Huntress, while having poor map pressure, can end chases really fast just with her hatchets
- Trapper and hag can cut loops really easy with their traps.
They all can easily survive in rank 1, but you are left with the idea that only 3 killer are viable on rank 1 because "tier list says so".

There will always be exceptions! But as you recall from the unofficial community poll we had a few weeks back, Spirit dominated as the "Killer I hate playing against the most" while Nurse was surprisingly well-loved.

I'm going by the numbers, and you can feel it in the community.
A lot of posts here on this board and on the steam discussion board today are people complaining about Spirit, not Nurse. The poll we had a few weeks back voted Spirit as the most hated killer, not Nurse.
Yes, there are people who complain about Nurse, but there are a lot more people complaining about Spirit these days than Nurse.

Hard to say that when the other side keeps crying for nerfs. As a killer main im fine with stuff like DS, DH, BT, ect but things change if the survivor mains dont reciprocate.

I didn't say that it is. Just that you are not affected by the Nurse changes at all or generally Players on another platform than pc. Don't act like ps4 Nurse is even remotely close to what she can do on pc.

I was hopefull that bhvr would make Nurse a balanced Killer and not dumpster her and make red ranks even more boring. We suffer from Long loading waiting times already as SWF. Most Players that take on survivors who bring stuff are nurses.

Nurse is a playable character in dbd, people on every platform play Nurse, so everybody is affected by the nurse change.

You are not affected by it. You don't play the Killer, you dont play against it. So stop pretending like it is affecting you or the ps4 Players. Yes you get the changes but that will not Change that Nurse is a nonfactor on that platform and mostly non existent.

What I meant with this post is this nurse change does not only affects the nurse but probably the entre rooster, see it like this:
Nurse is less viable now, it used to be strong and now is weaker (how much weaker still to be discovered). This means people will start to play Spirit, this damages both sides because as a survivor you'll see mire Spirits that anything else.
If survivors see more spirits, they'll start using the anti spirit build which makes The Spirit harder to play than a new player trying the nurse for their first time.
This could also lead in a way to other killer buffs, but lets be honest, we wont have another killer strong as the spirit (and goodbye nurse tier).
IMO they should've instead buff other killers, but thats too much work

It's an inevitability, prayer beads deleted (fair enough) and a "slight nerf" to base which isn't slight at all and then every killer can be looped and survivor game play will be as stale as ever.

mmmmmm this is a tough call. atleast at red ranks there will be variety which wont make it boring but iron will doesnt always beat spirit 100% her addons are still extremely strong

Its different, the game started like that and everyone was used to it, at least at first.
Now, that the game has been "stable" (for the most part) for some time they come up with a nurse nerf that no one asked for and wasnt necessary (just her addons) instead of changing things that are actually hurting the game, because the nurse wasn't.

I am sorry but Nurse on ps4 is the opposite of what it is on pc.
Why are there so few nurses on console mh? There is a thread explaining how it is already, i think due to Frame Drops and sensitivity limitations his words were it is already twice the work. On pc it is half the work so please it isn't the same and it is not comparable. So yeah you can say stuff like you dont Need Nurse to kill survivors.
So do you think Nurse on console was considered by bhvr? I doubt it.

Who are you trying to kid. Every Dbd player knows that nurse on PS4 isn't anywhere near as strong as on PC. And we all know you in particular usually like to stick to the leatherface for some reason. Yes it affects you but if we're talking about HOW MUCH it affects you? Ummmmm not very much at all

I don't think it needs to be reduced to 4 seconds. The timer starts before the fatigue, so that would mean you can chainblink again basically asap, which is hardly a change.

Never said she was as strong as pc nurse, I don’t only play LF.
She really isn’t that uncommon on PS4 in my experience, considering you can learn nurse and make her the #1 killer on console, I think they did.

Omega and +3 blink nurses yeah, but not basekit.
And there are still god loops in the game, they're not infinites but very much time wasting, and considering how fast gens go...
There are a lot of things that should be changed in the game, and nurse isnt very high on the list

Nobody is denying the Big Three are the strongest killers right now, but to believe that no other killers are viable at Rank 1 is ridiculous.
